Am I the only one that is a little bored with the Wrexham love-in right now? They’ve been bank rolled for the most part.

Shame about Portsmouth…again 🤣

There's two ways to look at it I think, from a Wrexham perspective it's a great story, poor town down on its luck, high unemployment, football team with proud history stuck in non league for 15 years and in true Hollywood style their saviours appear, its taken them longer than expected to get out of the division but they seem to be there for the long term project and have done a lot for the town. That pub next to the ground gets tourists visiting every day of the week.

For the other clubs in the division they must be fed up with them, playing budget vastly exceeding what others have , basically like putting a league one team into a division two beneath them. It has brought a lot more attention to the National League so other teams could have benefited with increased crowds themselves, try to use it to their advantage.

Notts County should come up as well, wouldn't be surprised if both sides then go straight through league two next season.

Today's League One results mean that any mathematical chance Pompey had of making the playoffs has now gone, so next season will be their 24th in the lower leagues.

They just love playing in the Papa John's Trophy, can't bring themselves to leave that level.

The promotion race from that division has been fascinating , looks like Plymouth and Ipswich should make it but could be another twist

So just to check, "everybody's got a price" but also bankrolling a club is, like, bad?

Got it.

Those decrying Wrexham for spending their way out of the league (at poor old Notts County's expense) seem to be conveniently ignoring that County are bankrolled themselves by their Danish consortium owners.

Yes the media go bonkers if some film actors are involved with 'normal people' , it remains to be seen how long they last when the bills start to roll in at a higher level .

Go for it mate, very accessible.  I went with a few others in 2009 I think, late January flights and hotels were cheap and match tickets easy to get, might need to plan ahead a bit more now they are doing well but well worth the trip. Proper football culture in the city, plenty more to do whilst there, breakfast overlooking the sea with a cappuccino and a copy of Gazetta dello sport

I think it’s more the media love-in, the celeb element of it all, that parts boring.

Nothing wrong with teams spending to better themselves. 😂

Spurs taking a tonking, what a shame. 🤣

3-0 West Ham.

So do we get the Bournemouth backlash and then play an in form Newcastle.

Or is it a struggling Bournemouth and overconfident Newcastle.

Can't remember how it works.

They're not. But there is a lesson here about how Sky/TV can control the sound and you should remember that next time you're told to believe Anfield is a wonderful atmosphere.

Can't see spurs being that bad in the second half.  The game is gone, it should be a case of shutting up shop,  can't see anymore goals in this one!
