Wow kudos to Forest. Especially against Liverpool. Shows a well organised defence can do wonders. Shame as Forest are our rivals but this is definitely a tough league this season.

Would normally be pretty happy that Liverpool lose to a team like Forest, hopefully Forest revert to type over thr next few games.

How shite were Liverpool today? Bet their fans are fuming with that performance after beating City.

They’re probably complaining that Forest raised their game because they were against Liverpool

I think that’s a wildly optimistic take on it from a Forest perspective. They may have two clean sheets but they’ve drawn a blank themselves in six games and conceded three or more against four teams, including Bournemouth, Leicester and Fulham. Aside from trips to Spurs and Man City, all our games have been tight and could have gone either way. Since swapping to a back four Everton are the only other team to score twice against us.

Put it this way, I doubt any fans of the four midland teams are thinking, "I’m glad we’re not Southampton," this morning.

Maybe I've not seen Forest enough but I've now seen games against West Ham, Brighton, Liverpool, they've kept clean sheets in all but more importantly I really think they've got a bit of team spirit there, would not be surprised if they stay up got the right attitude for it.

BHA should be very unhappy with both those City goals. First one Haaland appeared to push the defender, second Bernardo left his leg in and waited for contact before going down.

Sholing are having a brilliant season in Southern League Div 1, currently winning today to remain top.

If they go up they’ll be eligible for the Dafuge or Youth Challenge in next year’s Football Manager.

Brighton have been very impresssive in this game. Given City a lot of problems and have some very good spells. They knock it around nicely and their pressing game has made sure City have been pegged back at times. Good to watch.

I think the first goal was fine, Haaland was just too strong. The penalty was very weak though.

And now conceded two quick goals to be 2-1 down

Still top of the league though.

Some very disappointing results today - Forest (although that was satisfying in a way as it was against the Scousers), and Everton

I'm blaming you for that!

I watch them a fair bit and they have some decent players. A lot have been at the club for their whole careers as well as a manager with the record number of games, both which are very unusual at their level.

They've been winning both the games they lost so will be disappointed they haven't got maximum points this season.

Plus they have a very good manager who knows how to organise a team. They’ve got a good chance of staying up. Leeds look dreadful at the moment, we’re crap, I’d expect Bournemouth to slide down the table. Leicester and Villa probably have too much quality to go down. Usually there are one or two bankers to go down, not this year

Could end up with loads of teams from 10th to 20th all on the same points , can see Leeds sacking their manager soon,  already have Bournemouth, Villa, Wolves without a permanent boss in place

Hugo Lloris comes out to clear, and collides with Wilson, not at full speed.

Lloris decides that even this contact is enough for his legs to no longer support him, and he falls down to try and claim the foul.

Wilson regains the ball and chips into an empty net.

Cue the ref being surrounded by Spurs players incensed that Lloris' cheating and poor decision for the clearance hasn't resulted in the goal being chalked off.

Spurs players surrounding the referee for their own incompetence.

Newcastle time wasting having spent seventy minutes of the game on the ground.
