Yeah you can't really be a good manager if you can't invent a magic potion to turn poor defenses into world class ones.

Also, cancer still not cured. Ralph out.

We've signed CBs under him, we play the formation he wants us to play. We've been conceding those type of goals throughout his entire tenure.

Armstrong looks like a competition winner, no hold up at all. What the fuck is Che doing on his arse?

Exactly what I was thinking. Reminded me of the guy who won the auction to play the second half of Claus's testimonial v Celtic.

Well he just lost control while we were attacking that led to a Tottenham break. So, yes, he’s there.

We have no out ball. Adams would definitely be a better option than Armstrong.

Can't be a good manager if he thinks Bednarek is an undroppable superstar.

Blaming the manager for transfers? 1995 just called, they want their logic back.

Positive from this game is Lavia looks an amazing signing.

Also 2 goals conceded, and keeper not at fault. That's a step up from mccarthy

Yeah, he's the guy who is offering no ability to hold up anything to generate an attack.

Nobody but idiots called ralph really had any expectation that Armstrong is a hold up the ball type player. Square ppeg round hole.

Never said he was good. But just because he isn't good that doesn't mean every single thing is his fault

At least Lavia and Aribo look great, as does JWP and... shock horror... Djenepo.

I hate to say hit but Adam Armstrong is looking especially poor. Off at half time I'd guess.

Adams for Adam at HT, surely

For those banging on about AA, he isn’t responsible for the chaotic and wide open defending

True

But we are essentially playing with 10 men which doesn't help

Our defenders can’t defend and our strikers can’t score. Should be a good season!

A real issue with this formation is there really aren't many places to pass the ball. If we are playing out from the back, then it is getting spread to the wingbacks most of the time. So easy to then squeeze us to losing the ball.

Nobody said he his... But he is responsible for holding up the ball and being of some use when we get the ball. He does neither. To be fair to him though, we already knew this, so the question really is why is he even on.

Yes but if the ball isn't being held up properly, Spurs are able to control and launch attacks unchallenged.

Absolute waste of space I've tried to see the good in him but he just offers nothing and shit

With two goals from free headers I'm surprised Ralph didn't immediately sub one of the centre backs and bring on Kotchap. Hope to see him at start of second half.
