He's just gone for extreme measures to try to stop the goals going in - trouble is, it doesn't work for us. It will ahve been a worry a lot of us ahd: that the repalcement fro Ralphball would rob of of that dynamism when it was going well, but not be able to shore us up or be creative enough either. Still, only a goal in it...

Saint86 Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Wow. Right when we were getting back into the game...
stknowle Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Salisu.....................our.best.central.defender. 1
Nemi Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 As someone who’s unable to watch, is it actually that bad or is it just that Spurs have a far superior set of players compared to us?
Sunglasses Ron Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 We are horrific 😂 It's one thing losing to a team like Tottenham, but we seem to excel at doing all the hard work for them. Yet another opening day loss it is then...
Saint86 Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Salisu doubly at fault for that. Shocking. One of the worst own goals you will ever see.
Bad Wolf Posted 6 August, 2022 Author Posted 6 August, 2022 To clarify, I don't believe Ralph is a good manager. But I also don't believe he's at fault for every single thing that goes wrong. Unhappy medium, people. 1 1
saintant Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Why do we continually give away such soft goals?
Disco Stu Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 I wonder what Ralph will do to try and turn this game around. Change shape perhaps? Playing with a striker might work.
FarehamSaintJames Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Superb selection. Superb tactics. Superb defending. Superbly inexperienced. 🤣
Sunglasses Ron Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Fucking hell, bottom of the league to boot now!
striker Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 This formation sucks, as does the goalie and Valery

We are poor and a much better Spurs team aren;t having to work to hard to look that much better than us. And as I type, that's another one... 2
saint lard Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Get Hasenhuttle out of our club now. It’s gone on way too long. 3

Nordic Saint Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 5 minutes ago, DT said: Strange selections. Tick. Dodgy tactics. Tick. Ralph slotting straight back into it. Let's hope it doesn't take too long for Ralph to learn that, with the players he has, 3 at the back doesn't work. It just leaves us totally exposed. When he did it before. it was, in effect, 5 at the back, as he just needed an extra central defender to cover for Vestergaard, but the way he's playing it now, we really are left with only 3 defenders, which is suicidal when they are players of such limited ability. 1
Disco Stu Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 (edited) Urrgh. It's all too predictable. How depressing. Ralph never learns 😞 Edited 6 August, 2022 by Disco Stu
bpsaint Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Embarrassing but not surprising, I put £20 on us to lose 4-1 at 16/1
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 I know we don't have a forward on the field but we really don't like to get it in the box, Stick it in there and see what happens, Like they did when Salisu tapped it in,
Saint86 Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Hall marks of the emirates game for Yoshida's debut. Horrendous defending this game. Isn't Selles a defensive mastermind?

SambaMaverick Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Why did SR keep this fucking clown in a job if they're so clever? 2
AlexLaw76 Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Are we really going to persist with this manager?
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Probably not the only one, but Djenepo was well out of position all the way through that move for the 4th.

jasonb Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Hmm. Could be 5 or 6 if they fancy it with what... 30 mins left. Pffftttt
The Kraken Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Utterly, utterly terrible. Yet again exposed down the flanks. Fuck off Ralph. Shamefully shit.
SNSUN Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Well this is going exactly how most of us thought it would then. I said it at the end of last season and I'll say it now. RALPH NEEDS TO GO.
Saint_Jonny Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Thought we were doing ok until the OG (which was horrendous). Here comes the drubbing though. Soft underbelly still there.
Edmonton Saint Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 Salisu has been awful pretty much all this calendar year. We’re depressing to watch right now, still can’t do the basics .We spent all pre season with this nonsense 3 at the back to make us hard to beat, yet we still have no idea how to defend. I think I posted in the opening thread of the 2017 season that Stephens shouldn’t be anywhere near our line up, yet here we are 5 years later still trying to pretend he is a premiership level defender.
Disco Stu Posted 6 August, 2022 Posted 6 August, 2022 What could have been if Tottenham got the red card they deserved. 1
