Just a bit of fun to tide is over

Fantasy Scenario after a meeting with the Sports Republic setup they have ordered you to continue the rebuild.  

They have said they can allow up to five more incomings to strengthen across the team.

 

Who do you bring in and why? How would they hopefully improve the team? Keep it realistic lads and within a Saintsy budget.

Sesko as the number 9.

Colwill as a third CB or Dan-Axwel Zagadou (currently a free agent, not sure why - he was very highly rated)

Pederson as a RB

Cristian Pavon or Moses Simon as the wide options.

Sander Berge as another CM.

Never going to happen, but that would be pretty tidy.

Hard to argue with this! Adds quality at the levels we need and the positions we need.

I would really like a Dolberg type signing as an out-and-out striker, an obvious class about A.Armstrong (who will have his place in the squad). 

With those five, a starting 11 and 5 subs to bring on just instantly looks more quality.

Cornet mainly out wide but can play up front and wingback so good versatility and pace there. Baumgartner is another wide option and mainly plays on the left. Got a good goal scoring record too. Kalajdzic again has a good goal return and his height gives us more options. Kaboure looks a decent option at right back, pace and good defensively too. Colwill looks quality and would give us a bit of composure at the back and good range of passing.

Would have had either Broja or Delap but think both ships have sailed.

I'd basically just be rehashing names we mention on here cos i dont know enough about who would truly improve us with our budget.

As a random one we cant afford i'd say Jonathan David from Lille in the CF role.

2 strikers (Adamu and Delap)

Another 10 (Cornet)

Another RB (Pedersen)

Another CB (Colwill)

 

Positions are the ones I want, not fussed who really but have named some players available or previously mentioned on here. 

 

Also, things went quiet on Anjorin. I know he didn't do a lot at Huddersfield but he's still highly rated.

Jonathan Burkardt (Mainz and Germany U21) OR Martin Terrier (Rennes & Former French U21) - Striker (OR Liam Delap!)

Alejandro Francés (Zaragoza & Spanish U21) or Levi Colwill - Centre Back

(Burkardt has been linked to Newcastle, Terrier has been linked with Leeds, Francés is rumoured to be 'on Barcelona's radar')

Maybe because people keep spelling his name wrongly and they think he's trying to hide a Maxwell connection (or a silver hammer).

He was meant to be the new Marco Van Basten a few years ago but seems to have stalled somewhat. Dont really know much about him apart from we were vaguley linked some years ago, may have been when he was at Ajax.

Max Aarons (Norwich) - can cover both sides.

ST: Someone who other clubs look at and go “shit what a bargain”. Someone that will scare defenders. Still think it’ll be Liam Delap on loan.

For 'fun' and not expecting this but :

Strikers:1) as a priority one of Kalajdzic or Sesko, and 2)  a second striker, possibly a loan 

3)MF : Grillitsch (available on a 'free' as out of contract), Austrian international, linked with others (Italy, Turkey, and even Brighton !). Would be a good DM , and also played CB for part of last season. Think he's 26 so probably considered too old,

4) WB: Maehle, previously linked but I read somewhere Atalanta would sell for £17m, probably outside our budget and range of £10-12m teenagers, but can play right or left side as WB or FB.

AM : (or a  "10" in new money terms), no idea .... might be a trade off between an AM and second striker

5)CB: still think we're crying out for a leader here, a Fonte or a Ken Monkou type . If we're not signing an older head for this role then following our prototype signings, Collwill looks to be one with a decent reputation and potential for growth.

Wow, I didn't realise Grillisch was available on a free. Put him in the same bracket as Dan Axel-Zagadou as an unexpected freebie! I doubt we'll go for either as they'll want big wages, but they're interesting options.
