Strachan said we could have signed the pair for something like £12m, Lowe said why would we make our competitors finacially richer and us finacially weaker. But striking options of Lambert, Sharp and Vardy would’ve been quite something. 1

He was more making a point that Vardy had gone on to score many goals and make many appearances for Leicester, whist Lee disappeared after 7 Championship games.
