No Tyler Dibling or Kamari Doyle 😞

What do you expect when we close our pathway from academy to first team and open up an on-ramp for other teams youth players? If they aren't going to get first team football sooner with us then they may as well go to a bigger club or one that will pay them more.

Saints haven't signed any players from other academies who block Dibling's pathway as an attacking midfielder. If he is going to Newcastle it is due to money, not blocked pathways.

You should know better than anyone that Kamari Doyle is a 2nd year scholar.

I should indeed know that, having created him on FM 😁

Mistake due to me thinking about him being linked to Newcastle recently and mixing him with Dibling's cohort.

Is this not just showing new scholars rather than players already at the club?

Eight of the ten are products of the club’s Academy, with the two others Boot and Charles have joined from AFC Bournemouth and QPR.

Boot and Morgan went to primary school together so maybe JJM had a word. No surprise to me that those two are going far.

Tyler Edmondson is my son's mate. He played with him at Sholing and they both went to Hamble school until a couple of weeks ago.

Great to see this officially announced, looking forward to watching him progress and get some games in the U18's this season.

Nice family. So pleased for them all.

Tyler's a really good kid. Great attitude, very solid player with a great passing range who came on leaps and bounds at U13 before Saints signed him.

Interestingly Chelsea watched that Sholing team a few times and took 2 others on a 6 week trial but Tyler wasn't one of them. About 4 months later Saints picked him up and he's just got better and better.

Of the kids Chelsea looked at one is now on a scholarship at Cheltenham, the other did play Hants schoolboys but never really kicked on to Academy level.

It’s weird how some just fall out of love with it, my sons year was same few went for Chelsea, Saints , Skates and Bournemouth trials then dropped away now none play at all.

Tylers dad was a good golfer too

My son has just quit his team, has got a bit fed up with playing top league in Southampton and just wants to play for fun now. He still loves football, just can't be bothered with chasing league titles and cups anymore.

Priorities change once they leave school, they start getting jobs and other interests that take over.

Tyler's family is sporty, one of his uncles has had a few pro boxing fights.
