St. Ciervo Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 I am officially excited for the season. Arrriiiibboooo!
niceandfriendly Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 From way inside his own half. That is quite something. The quick feet, close control, then the finish!
striker Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Well that woke me up. That was something. I keep saying pass pass, yet there he is
macca155 Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 How much was he £12 million ... a steal great player
The Juice Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 What a goal. He is so good on the ball. Could be a top, top signing. 1

obelisk Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Aribo bulldozing his way to scoring there. Great effort from him. 1-1.
CanadaSaint Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 His composure and control in such a tight space was ridiculous.
niceandfriendly Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Aribo has the ball in the back of the net again with a header, just offside
niceandfriendly Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 The blue few are 3-2 up. Crazy football down there in the noddy leagues 1
Suhari Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Nice (offside) goal. We seem to have a little more creativity.
Kingsland Codger Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Was Aribo's goal similar to that scored by Boufal v West Brom?

The Kraken Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 (edited) Bednarek ending up sat on his arse, Salisu losing his man. Not a good look at the back. Edited 30 July, 2022 by The Kraken 1
washsaint Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Bednarek always ends up on his arse - terrible player with awful positional sense. The reason he makes so many blocks is his terrible positioning 2

Has zero athleticism or positional awareness.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Minute Bednarek is back in the team we look vulnerable at the back. Terrible defending.
The Kraken Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 First bit of running that pitch invader has done for a while, the fat fuck. 1
CanadaSaint Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 With both goals we’ve had three CDs who don’t read situations, just ballwatch and react late to them. It’s been our biggest Achilles heel for some time, and it doesn’t look to have changed. 3
saintant Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Equalise then give away a sloppy goal soon after has a familiar ring to it. Need to stop doing that and quick. 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Ralph’s looking dazed and confused not knowing what to do next. Meanwhile Emery brings on 5 subs to affect the game. Think my enthusiasm at the start of the week was premature!😂

obelisk Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Saints attack still looks blunt. Aribo will likely get reprimanded for looking to attack and having a shot.
niceandfriendly Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Djen did really well to get into a shooting position and forgot to shoot!
Bad Wolf Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Djenepo would be world class if he had any common sense 1

Lyanco is way better at interceptions, he has other faults but I'd prefer him to Bendarek who has looked decidedly iffy recently. 1
Bad Wolf Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 How does anyone think Redmond is a good player?! Been on the pitch 5 minutes and totally ****ed up three times 1
Warriorsaint Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Djneppo decision making terrible. Very tentative. Should have shot, chose to pass. Perraud showed him though. You shoot in those positions

Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 (edited) Just how much shitter can Redmond get? I would be happy to see him released for f -all and a youngster given a chance. Edited 30 July, 2022 by Saint Fan CaM
obelisk Posted 30 July, 2022 Posted 30 July, 2022 Saints ok in parts but decision making in the attacking third pretty poor. Djenepo should have shot at the end there but didn't seem to have enough confidence. Maybe a defeat puts things back in perspective.

I think we’re close to having a much better back three but not if Bednarek is part of it. He’s a very reactionary defender, which forces the other two to cover for his inadequacies. I’m not sold on Lyanco but in the absence of a new CB I think he’s the better choice. And he’s more comfortable on the ball.
