Saints u21's have been drawn in Group F with Forest Green, Newport and Exeter City. Very very close to being in P*mpey's group which would have been "interesting".

Great for me as a Gloucester based Saints supporter. Forest Green is my closest Football League club and Newport is a 35-40 min train away. Always a good evening watching the stars of the future.

I thought I read somewhere that us and them were kept apart deliberately in the draw. Not sure if that's true or not

Pretty sure us and Pompey are purposely kept apart. It's not worth all the security stuff that would need to be invested for a small time competition that no team cares about. I live about half an hour from Exeter's ground...Buzzing if the game takes place there!

It is true, pretty sure we have a similar query around this every year.

All our games in this competition are away from home.

For those who are travelling to FGR, not that I am expecting a big crowd, it is literally on top of a hill in the Cotswolds off a single lane road! There is parking at the ground and a school next door that offers additional parking too.

They are a fantastic football club with a great family feel. You will no doubt no they are fully Vegan and are very committed to this and the environment as a whole. The aim is that by 2026 their new ground will be built by the M5 (Jct 13) and built entirely out of wood.

Strange how this commitment doesn't extend to providing sustainable transport options for anyone attending the ground, meaning that single lane road (with cars parked either side) gets clogged up with cars idling and spewing emissions into the air, largely negating all the other good environmental work the club does.
