They're not alone. Bronze had been dreadful, Hemp wasteful, and Kelly poor since she's been on.

Too many flawed performances in the team today. 
 

 

edit to add: there are far less stoppages in the women’s game. It flows a lot longer between the ref blowing up, but by God when she does blow up, they stop it forever.

True. Just not been effective enough for me. To be fair to her though, we've been so wasteful and she's tried to play off the last defender but just hasn't got it right.

On the basis of the performance, anything other than the Spain victory would’ve been an injustice and would’ve served women’s football poorly.

Don't know enough about women's football, but Spain looked much better than us, we created nothing they looked likely to score every time they came forwards.

England weren't unlucky - we were outplayed by the better team. No complaints.

Only England player who seemed to turn up for this game was Hemp. Maybe the occasion got to them a bit. Better team won without a doubt.

Mind you, that ref. Calling her poor would be generous.

Spain were head and shoulders the better team. Could have been a much bigger margin of victory if not for a poor penalty and some heroics from earps. I thought england were lucky to beat Spain in the euros too.

Behave Spain were much better. How many chances did England have? The one against the bar, that’s about it, hardly anything in the second half

England were well beaten. 1-0 is kind for the Lionesses.

Cracking game. You have to take your chances and we didn’t although agree that Spain were the better side. They can be proud though as they looked poor in the early stages and stepped up.

You think a vaguely competent keeper doesn’t save that? She did well to get the shot away but it was hardly an amazing save

I just thought Spain played better and had better players and I do not like 3 at the back either although our LCB I thought played pretty well during the tournament
