That was a great second goal, hopefully they'll show it again along with the celebrations.

It wasn’t really was it, scramble and turned in but honestly I jumped out of the chair when it went in. Fair play to lionesses if that isn’t too sexist, the final was bloody gripping.

Well Done England. Pretty even game on the whole but England once again clinical with their chances. No doubt celebtration will make some headlines, no reason women should have to be restrained in shirt terms as far as i'm concerned.

Did wonder if Germany were going to be made pay for giving away that very needless corner.

This Betty Ball isn’t bad. Interesting to see not a single black player on the pitch, wonder why that is?

Probably because at the moment the best England squad just happen to be very largely white. Women's football has come a long way but is still in it's infancy in some respects. As this sport increases in popularity we will see girls from Primary School age up and from all walks of life having lots more opportunities to take up football and as they grow and develop there will be more diversity in our national women's team.

Does the DJ at Wembley only own 7 records and have to contractually play them in the same order after every final?

Great to see England win, I thought Germany were just getting hold of the midfield but the subs put England back on the front foot and they deserved to get the winner.

Ian Wright seems to think you had to be part of an underground network to play or watch womens football

Not sure what he wants.  Ladies game 3pm on a Saturday?  That will be great for its growth 🤪

It’s bizzare keep banging on about how girls aren’t allowed to play football. Whilst the flip side is sue whistle reckons 14m of them  are at it! Who is right?

He wants the PL to run it! Moaning about having to travel to games. That’s what I did every weekend for 15 year when I played at the weekends. I get his point a bit but it is like he just wants the vulgar wealth of PL to be there. Part of why it is so joyous is because it is more pure.

That was hypothetical. Now it's happened. See if there's a load of pressure. Not like this govt doesn't like a U-turn. Surely an easy feel good factor for the publicity hound on his way out.

Did you see the Sunak photo?

Not sure there is a need.

I get the feel most of these types of holidays are to cater for the fact so many go out on the smash (celebrate) whatever the occasion.

Is the country going out on the smash right now?

However, they will all be falling over themselves to give us loads of time off.  May even restart the furlough in honour of the Lionesses

According to the BBC commentator, not long ago women had to forego their dignity to play football.

Errr, what?

Probably referring to the earlier days of women's football when players where all branded as lesbians and constantly mocked and derided. Obviously it's still a thing for certain members of society but it's dwindling.

Are you suggesting Sue Whistle isn’t reflective of the modern female footballer?
