Are any of these park and rides any good? The official long stay car park is v expensive at £150 a week. Gatwick much cheaper ans this is not for work so begrudge paying it. Don’t want gypos joy riding it whilst I’m away so appreciate if anyone can vouch for any as a decent experience.

Nowadays we get a car to take us up and meet us when we return.  We used to use English Rose but they are no longer in operation so we now use Wessex Cars* of Winchester, wessexcars.com

The journey up is just under £100 and they will meet you on your return for about £10 more. Compared with the cost of parking and fuel we find it well worth it. Plus if you arrive back after an overnight flight there is no driving to be done. It's a lot more relaxing.

*other chauffeur taxi service are available.

Agree with WG. The meet-and-greet airport taxi option can often be more cost effective than driving up, and more convenient to-boot.

I also use https://www.justpark.com/ for alternative parking options. Tend to use this for going to concerts, away games, etc, but have also considered it for airport parking in the past (a quick search shows several options within spitting distance of Heathrow).

Last time I went to Heathrow I used the cheapskate option of parking in a permit free area in Hounslow and then getting an less than £10 Uber to the airport. I chose the area because it only has housing on one side and you arent crowding out residents . This is Hadrian Way Stanwell
