Just bought a 45rpm single by Clifford Chance 'She Shot a Hole in My Soul' with 'Wont you Shag with me' on the flip side..

Interesting B side!!!

Anyone have an idea of the value?

Can't help with the value, but the Shag was an American dance craze from the 40s/50s. The Tams tried a revival with their late 80s single 'There ain't nothing like shagging'.

Oo er missus.

Discogs don't list it with that b side, but no other version has ever fetched more than £20, and no Clifford Chance stuff seems to make strong money. Interesting to get something different all the same.

70's psych, original African records, first pressings of bands that become massive, Northern Soul 7" and old funk/blues are others where the big money goes on.

This monthly list from Discogs is always interesting:

A mate of mine, who deals in Northern Soul records, sold one of the two 45rpm vinyl copies of Frank Wilson's..'Do I Love You (Indeed I do')...for £18k about 20 years ago.
It was resold 2 years ago to a guy called Lee Jeffries for a reported £100k!!

Ha, I worked in Virgin in the late 90's. Bought some records then but not as many as I should because some from that era when they weren't making many are worth loads now.

Still happens with bands who get bigger a while after their first singles. I bought a Dry Cleaning record when it came out less than 3 years ago and now it goes for £300+.

Imagine having a record worth £100k. That's totally nuts.

you need punk and edgy 70/80's music for them to have value, really

If it's got 11 tracks rather than 12 and a plain pink back cover then it's the proper first edition. £200+ if it's in decent condition.

The record of there's that's worth insane amounts is the unreleased single version of God Save The Queen. Well over £10k if you have one of them.

Good to find that link to discogs the other night. My MIL is going through her late fathers LP collection and was about to sell the lot for 40 quid. Seems its worth about 5 times that much. 👍
