Convict Colony Posted 15 June, 2022 Posted 15 June, 2022 Based on Englands inability to score and then concede soft goals maybe southgate will become our new manager 1
beatlesaint Posted 30 June, 2022 Posted 30 June, 2022 Sorry but this made me laugh - Carl Martin, who led Saints Under-18s to the Premier League South title last season, moves up to support the senior side, with particular focus on work in possession of the ball. 🤣🤣
revolution saint Posted 30 June, 2022 Posted 30 June, 2022 Alex Clapham seems to concentrate on analysing and coaching set pieces as well as doing a lot of work for various academies. Also written a few pieces for the Guardian on various academies and how they produce players.
EBS1980 Posted 30 June, 2022 Author Posted 30 June, 2022 Seems County fans aren’t fussed about Clapham leaving (read comments)

Dusic Posted 30 June, 2022 Posted 30 June, 2022 Like the Carl Martin move. Ralph has seen him operate at first team level and also good for the top academy lads (assuming we keep them) that they know him well and vice versa. Will also be interesting to see the coaching setup at U18 level given Martin/Harris worked so well.
Daft Kerplunk Posted 1 July, 2022 Posted 1 July, 2022 Interesting group. Nobody with high level playing experience to have that knowledge and insight to help players. I would have thought someone like James Beattie who’s doing well as a coach would’ve been on a list to have in. Especially as he might have been able to help the forwards! Anyway, definitely no more excuses for Ralph if he has selected this group.
Suhari Posted 1 July, 2022 Posted 1 July, 2022 Interesting. More experience and greater diversity of experience than the past mob. Fresh ideas and (presumably) greater variety in training Excited to see how things pan out.
tajjuk Posted 1 July, 2022 Posted 1 July, 2022 Only technically two new coaches than in Selles and Clapham.
