Lighthouse Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Forget cricket scores, this could be the prize money in Squid Game. 4
Baird of the land Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Probably fitting if he goes after another 9 nil. 1 2
Teddeer Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Have 3 players from one side ever scored hat-tricks in the same match? Could be Ralph's next shiny new record plus he'd probably eclipse his two nine nil shit shows. 1 1
nta786 Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Now, we have 10 days until this fixture, whilst Liverpool play Spurs tonight, Villa on the 10th, then an FA Cup final on the 14th against Chelsea. Now who do we think will look fresher on the pitch? Ralph can win some goodwill back if we miraculously get something from this game, although I suspect for many the damage is now done. The team I would play? Honestly probably too soon to care right now. Prediction: Saints 1-4 Liverpool. 1
Lighthouse Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Just now, Baird of the land said: Probably fitting if he goes after another 9 nil. Liverpool are going to score 9! (Yes, it's a mathematics joke)
cloggy saint Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Everyone banging on about 9-0, I think we're looking at anything between 12 and 18. 1 2
S-Clarke Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 (edited) You know what's going to happen, don't you? We'll end up winning this somehow, then go on to lose the Leicester game the next weekend. It's just how we do things and why we are such an infuriating team. Edited 7 May, 2022 by S-Clarke 2 1
BotleySaint Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Liverpool players must surely be thinking about our various 9 nils and thinking its their turn. Maybe go one more and make it 10. About time we broke some more records..
Micky Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 It doesn't bear thinking about what they will do to us. Jeff Stelling and the team on Sky were saying how we are liable to folding, and that was against Brentford...! There is no fight or desire in this team so if it starts to go pear shaped early on it could well get embarrassing again. Our best hope is that VVD and Sadio take pity on us and ease up.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Hopefully we don't see Forster, Bednarek or Salisu anywhere near the team, we may stand a chance of at least keeping it respectable. 1
It's There Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 goalkeeper + Play 10 in defence? Maybe 6 3 1 ? Play salisu, bednarek, Stephens, Simeu, Gallery , KWP, Peraud, JWP, Romeo, Smallbone and Forster. Defend, defend, defend!

fanimal Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Liverpool will do just enough as they won’t be as fresh probably 3 or 4-1 couple of late goals from subs just to make sure
SNSUN Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Liverpool 9 - Southampton Nein. Can we just get 5 or whatever players sent off and take the 3-0 defeat?

The Cat Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Contemplating putting my tickets up on the exchange, especially if Man City drop any points beforehand. Not sure I can sit through us getting hammered while watching Liverpool fans celebrate being a step closer to the title.

SNSUN Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Comes to something where I'm actually hoping we play Valery in a 3 man defence. 🤦♂️ 1

LeBizzier69 Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Can we do a Newcastle style Covid postponement perhaps? Until 2027? I'm going to go purely because it's the last home game of the season, but this really could get very ugly both in scoreline and atmosphere.
Saints foreva Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Lube up boys, they're going in dry. Wouldn't be surprised it they effectively win the league here. 1

The Cat Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Probably drop Bednarek for Lyanco, not sure about 3 at the back. Put Romeu back in place of Diallo. Adams has to play as we'll need someone vaguely competent at holding up the ball when we play it forward.

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Would holding them to 5 feel like a win? They have Villa and Chelsea before us so is it too much to hope they'll be knackered???

The biggest hope is that Spurs hold on for a point at Anfield, Villa somehow beat them to kill their title chase, Kloppitty then plays the reserves so he can rest the squad for the CL. I mean, it won’t happen, and we’d lose anyway, but maybe not by a hammering.

BotleySaint Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 (edited) At least we should know a little more of our fate by the time this game comes around. Both Leeds and Everton will play 3 times and Burnley once more before we face Liverpool. Hopefully we can go into this one already knowing we are safe by then... Edited 7 May, 2022 by BotleySaint 1

Suhari Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 There was a tanker delivering KY Jelly to St Mary's earlier on. That should make things go smoother. 1
Wiseone Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Why bother with this topic??...surely we all know what the outcome will be.
Whitey Grandad Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Last home game of the season. Lap of appreciation anybody? Will there be anybody left in the stands to see it? 1
