Cov fan ( the real sky blues) here.

Just wondering what you've made of Adam Armstrong this season ? Doesn't seam to have torn up any trees down there. Do you think the saints might try and unload him this summer ? Or do you think he might benefit from a loan to a championship club perhaps (H, hummmmm) not mentioning any body in particular. But if we had scored a third of the chances we create we would be going up. 

Anyway would be interesting to hear what you lot think.

He's massively struggled. He was given quite a few opportunities at the start of the season and physically he struggled, it's clear he had a good turn of pace but he lacked refinement in his finishing and touch and had absolutely no physicality to his game - and at the highest level, that is shown up.

He may come good, but I don't know - I can see huge limitations in his game that will always mean he'll struggle. 

£15m is a decent investment for us so I'm sure the club won't give up on him, but his confidence is through the floor right now given that Shane Long is preferred as the sub role ahead of him.

I would think it depends on who replaces Broja for next season (or if we get to keep him for another year).

Got away with his size in the championship because he's quick , but if like in the premier Division there's no where for you to run into its a bit lost.

I like what I have seen, but I haven’t seen a lot of him.

It would take quite an optimistic fan to say he is going to make it in the Premier League. 
There is very little hard evidence so far that he is even close to the level required, even for us ….

The club should be working with him hard to bulk up a bit and get ready for next season. You'd hope so anyway.

Yeah, but he's good. Small and average ain't a recipe for success in the Prem.

I think he's been a bit unlucky. Don't think he's a bad player at all, would like to see him get more minutes ahead of Broja and Long who probably won't be here next season

Messi did fairly well too, as did Maradona but yes, small players never succeed at the highest level! 😁

Broja may not return. Long may not get a new contract. That leaves Adams and Armstrong as our two strikers and we don't have a lot of funds available to bring another striker in. I really don't think we will be loaning him out next season. He will get another season to try and force his way into our starting eleven.
