I know there is often a default pessimism amongst Saint's fans, but DT takes it rather too enthusiastically, don't you think?

Quite a few Palace fans on the train and around town. Let's hope they're miserable on the train home..

“For me, in football mistakes come. When it comes, you have to stay positive and try to believe in yourself,” Salisu told the Daily Echo.

“Try to sit down and see what’s not right so you can make it better. I had a couple of bad games, I will say. But I’m still working hard to get back to my best.

“I’m doing Ramadan and it’s not easy. It’s very hard at the same time playing games, I think it’s a little bit affected me. But I’m still working hard and I will get back strong.”

Well that clears that then.

Not enthusiastic about our line up’s ability to score goals goals goals tbh

I hope our fans aren't silly enough to boo Clyne like they did with Cedric a few weeks ago.

Joel Ward and Zaha though... get into them however.

Cheer up!

We don't know what will happen, but they are below us in the table so maybe a bit more optimism than just writing off a game 2 hours before kick off!

Ok. I hope we win. Makes my weekend when we do.

I think he just wears his heart on his sleeve and I’m ok with that. I prefer it to all the smoke and mirrors algebra stuff from some other posters, that’s for sure.

Head scratcher from Ralph yet again!

I reckon Adam Armstrong must have shagged Ralph’s dog.

Pretty clear at this stage that he has no intention of starting AA, ever. If confidence is what his game lacks (big if), he certainly isn't going to get it here. I'm in the start him for the rest of the season camp just to see what happens - playing Long and Broja ahead of him seems pointless to me.

Long is hardly one for the future, if not the present.

It’s a total joke. Any PL club who gives Long yet another contract next season after an average of one goal every ten games or so for them by their mid-30s either needs to part company with their manager and/or find owners with clout to fund the club properly. Semmens has messed up big time if that’s the case. AA looks well short of this level but at 10 years younger better to be sure before you dump him rather than play a has been. Long’s done his job over the years of pressing and getting the occasional one off goal but just desperation today starting him again, didn’t even play well at Brighton.

Delldays - sadly I this this may be case. Looks like Semmens picked the wrong ownership option, if Long’s getting a new contact what’s the difference with Gao?

Pity Rangnick got the Austria job.

Toussaint - we’ve already got one ‘good senior lad’ in Theo, Crocker’s mate. If the owner has anything has anything about they’ll block Ralph and Crocker on any extension for Long

Best player for running as fast as he can and then falling over and staying down for a few minutes while the other team attack our goal.

Not got an issue with giving Long another year as a backup.

Backup yes, but we've got $15M striker needing bedded in for next season.

Back up? He’s a League 1 standard player (and is only going to get worse) who we sometimes chuck on the pitch when we’re completely fresh out of ideas. He has no business in the Premier League, we need to get rid of his, Walcott and Armstrong’s combined wages and find someone who does.

Giving someone millions of ££ to do almost nothing.

I heard Zaha was on the bench and I thought... he's bottled it. Shit scared of our JWP is that Wilf.

I still think draw but depends on how Redmond and Tella get on.

I’ve never seen two corner kick takers at a corner flag before to act as a dummy.

Perraud took it in the end. JWP should have just run over it for full effect!
