Also while nosing, here's our last 6 year, going back to Puel's season, since that was being discussed on some threads.

That xG suggests that with a Danny Ings we'd be finishing with similar stats to 2019/2020. The big change up is the draws, way up on any of Ralphs previous seasons (and defeats way down). That suggests we've become somewhat harder to beat, which is what I'd have said we looked like up until Feb - why we've decided to flop back into our old ways is beyond me though.

Shaping up to be his worst season on win %, but when you look deeper like this there is much more to it. The summary I'd say to all of that is that we have been average as all hell for 6 years.

I understand the argument, but I don't agree that teams and performances get what they deserve 99% of the time.

I just don't see how it can be measured by anything other than goals. If Team A has one chance and scores one goal while Team B have 20 clear cut chances and screw all of them up, I don't get how Team A doesn't deserve their win by taking 100% of their chances.

Never understood how people think that possession, corners and shots on target go any way toward 'deserving a win'. I appreciate that that's not an argument you made but I see it all the time on social media "Look how many corners we had, we clearly deserved more!"

Sure, I'm certainly not talking about corners and possession. But if someone like City run us ragged for 90 minutes, creates a shed load of chances, we barely get out of our own half, create absolutely nothing, yet somehow come out of the game with a 0-0 draw, part by poor finishing, part by good defending, part by luck, I come away from that game thinking we got a bit lucky and got a bit more than we deserved.

I agree with you, only time I say a team doesn’t deserve it is when there has been terrible refereeing decisions such as penalties and red cards.

That's basically my thoughts too. Like a few years ago when Cardiff got absolutely screwed by the officials against Chelsea.
