Another masterclass from Ralph

It's not Ralph's fault that other teams turn up and look fitter, work harder, don't faff around with their selection and have a structure! 🙂

Something to do with ceilings I think.

Can we not just invest in renovating their living rooms, to give them higher ceilings...or something...🙂

Thought this game might have suited our feckless lot...near the beach, smell of the sea, seagulls and all that. Shame Brighton didn't stick deckchairs in the dug-out so we could really relax.

Instead were bent over and getting a good bumming...

As I said in another thread, Ralph needs to stop fucking about with 4-2-2-2 and overloading the attack playing tippy-tappy passing games that gain you all possession but score you no sodding goals.

4-2-3-1, buy an AM, a winger and a competent CB this summer.

Sick of this, classic Saints now.

No more of the “this isn’t his team”, the deadwood has been sold now. This is HIS squad.

I’ve made so much money betting against Saints this season because they’re so, so predictable, every game the same.

Something has got to change this summer. We’ve hovered around the lower relation threatened teams year after year and because of a couple of decent spurts of form we have stayed up.
This is getting too close now and next season we could see some huge problems arise.

This long throw thing is a crock of shit. Really need to stop it.

Don't really understand why there isn't someone at the club who's able to highlight how entirely f*cking pointless they are. And why Salisu doesn't tell Ralph every time he's asked to take a long throw, that he can't actually take them :S

Because Ralph is all powering, and nobody is allowed to question him whatsoever

There was that article that pointed out that the idea isn't to actually win the header from the throw in, or heaven forbid, score from them. It's to increase the chances of winning the second ball from them. It helps us prevent break aways from our own throw ins, apparently.

And noting we have the worst record in PL for conceding from set plays. Some coach we have

That and the fact we don't score from corners, crosses and long throws is because we don't have anybody who can head the ball, either in defence or in attack, which is a serious deficiency at any level of football, let alone the Premier League, especially as our main mode of attack is high crosses and corners from our wing-backs.  Let's hope we can buck the trend today and scrape a draw with a ball accidentally bouncing off the back of one of our strikers heads into the Brighton net.

Dread to think what Liverpool are going to do to us. We are a mess. It's not an over reaction to think that Liverpool could easily put more than 9 past us based on how badly we are playing. No organisation at all.

Thankfully, at this stage of the season, they’ll be looking to win 1 or 2 nil then ease off (I hope).

Be interested to read it. That being said, the theory doesn't appear to match reality though. Plus the same could be achieved by any player lofting it up the pitch. (realise you're not defending it btw)

Ugh, Tino.

Only saving grace is we will have c. 10 days rest before that Liverpool game, whilst they’ll have a midweek fixture vs Villa and then the FA Cup final vs Chelsea before playing us.

Note that despite all their fixtures they’ll end up looking fitter than our statues.

Say what you want about Shane Long, but not for the first time, he's the one the there dealing with the situation. Talking to Tino, helping him through it

Yeah brilliant, let's give him a new contract....... not sure if anyone's told you but his job is to score goals
