Paul Chuckle Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 (edited) Not sure if this is posted elsewhere but as Liverpool are in the FA Cup final, our last home game of the season will now be moved to a midweek date.... Edited 17 April, 2022 by Paul Chuckle

HarvSFC Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 Why's it not being played after the season? There isn't a summer tournament that it could clash with, as with the Euros last year.
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 This is what annoys me about the FA Cup. The FA want it to be taken seriously and still be relevant, yet it isn't the showpiece event at the end of the season anymore, and we have those fuckin stupid midweek games for the 5th round. 1
Matthew Le God Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 (edited) They wouldn't want the final day of the season to be staggered. Liverpool could end up going into the game playing for the title knowing already Man City's final point total after 38 games. Plus there are international games this summer. Edited 17 April, 2022 by Matthew Le God
The Cat Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 Wonder when that will be as they already are full with midweek games between now and the final. Could well be 18th May.

Expand Correct, which is why all final matches start at the same day and time, to avoid a possible Austria-Germany.

Noodles34 Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 Maybe we should just see how it all pans out and if Liverpool and us can't gain or lose anything, then let's not bother. 1

Expand Heard someone from one of the big women's teams on the radio today saying how great it'd be if the women's FA cup replicated the men's by playing the semis at Wembley.
John Boy Saint Posted 17 April, 2022 Posted 17 April, 2022 Bit of a shame as a mate has invited a few close friends to join him in the Halo Lounge for this one as part of his 70th Birthday celebrations - even thought it was already scheduled for a Sunday, being on a “school night” will be less fun 😢
