Not sure if this is posted elsewhere but as Liverpool are in the FA Cup final, our last home game of the season will now be moved to a midweek date....

Last home game of the season, not last game.

This is what annoys me about the FA Cup. The FA want it to be taken seriously and still be relevant, yet it isn't the showpiece event at the end of the season anymore, and we have those fuckin stupid midweek games for the 5th round.

They wouldn't want the final day of the season to be staggered. Liverpool could end up going into the game playing for the title knowing already Man City's final point total after 38 games. Plus there are international games this summer.

Wonder when that will be as they already are full with midweek games between now and the final. Could well be 18th May.

My guess is May 18 or evening Thursday 19. We will face the burden of stopping Liverpool from doing the Quadruple

Correct, which is why all final matches start at the same day and time, to avoid a possible Austria-Germany.

That's mainly because the Premier League, and the clubs themselves, don't give a flying fuck what the FA might want.

The FA aren't doing this stuff because they think that makes it more prestigious and more of a showpiece. They do it because they are getting hammered by the rich clubs and the rich league.

The FA Cup lost its appeal when the semis were switched there.

Indeed it lost all appeal. They did it in order to try to pay for the new Wembley and in so doing destroyed it’s specialness.

Heard someone from one of the big women's teams on the radio today saying how great it'd be if the women's FA cup replicated the men's by playing the semis at Wembley.

Bit of a shame as a mate has invited a few close friends to join him in the Halo Lounge for this one as part of his 70th Birthday celebrations - even thought it was already scheduled for a Sunday, being on a “school night” will be less fun 😢

Nobody is suggesting playing the Liverpool league game after the season, what are you on about?
