Sheaf Saint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Well one thing we have learned over the last two games is that an out of form Broja playing as a lone striker simply doesn't work.
whelk Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Does that banner in amongst Saints fans say “imagine being us”? 1 2
Saint_clark Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Burnley fans shouting and moaning about the game being stopped for one of their own players being down with a head injury. Morons.
OttawaSaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 We're like mediocre pizza. Just OK, decent if we're hungry but usually stale and unappealing...
Alan Sugarfree Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 It’s a managers job to unite the fans. Perhaps Ralph is trying to do that with tonight’s performance… 1
BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Ralph out thought by the caretaker manager so far. Players out fought by a team who want to win. 2
Mr X Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 We just haven't turnt up at all other than the first five minutes 1

All because we got flukey vs arsenal (ta forster) with this formation. Spot on. Complete stupidity to consider the Arsenal result as anything other than a phenomenal keeping display. We got battered and nicked a result. You build on that spirit, not on those tactics.
obelisk Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Game stopped with Saints in possession in the attack but ref gives the ball to Burnley. Eh?

OttawaSaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 I can barely be arsed to watch the rest of this. Very Saintsy... 1

trousers Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 So, we had the ball in their penalty area when the play was stopped and the ref gives the ball to Pope to resume play. What's that all about?
Saints foreva Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 60 minutes and still no changes. What exactly is he hoping for on that touchline? It hasn't worked, it's been pretty clear since the 20th minute that it isn't working yet he hasn't changed any of the personnel on that pitch. He's been tactically outclassed by an U23 manager with Ben Mee as his assistant. He's so overrated by many in this fanbase. 1

BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 3 nil then. This could get very very embarrassing

Mr X Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Ralph out he's had his honeymoon several times over and had more good will than any other manager in history!

Any team that has to play Valery, bednarek, and lyanco as a back 3 all season would be relegated by April. We have a smattering of decent players, and a very average / poor squad overall. We were tipped by everyone for relegation this season and yet we've improved without ings goals. Its a bad performance at the end of the day. But this lot are young and on holiday whilst Burnley are fighting for thier Premier league season.
SNSUN Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 It's results like this, with players like these, that make me worried about next season. Newcastle, Leeds, Everton if they stay up, all those will be better. We have a very important summer ahead and we need first choice additions, not squad players. Shambles. 3

BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 More than we deserve. 20 mins gone this half and it's been more of the same. Barely threatened their goal.
Jimmy_D Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 “I don’t think this can be disallowed…” Who is that idiot on commentary?
Saint86 Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Plus side. Redmond here to save us. No formation change needed 😂
obelisk Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Not that it'll make any difference. Dreadful defending. Saints will still lose by a mile.

Just wish Burnley would get some extra points elsewhere and send Everton down as I totally hate them with passion. Not going to be disappointed with an entertaining draw but I would love it if Ralph puts some youth on the pitch for at least a half. Watch him make changes now that the game is over. Wish his time was over.
BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Stuart Armstrong just looks knacked and fed up there.
Saint86 Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Jack Cork celebrated that one? But conspicuously not the 2nd goal 🤔 1
davefoggy Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 we are getting smashed by a team that will be relegated. absolutely pathetic. I'd sack Ralph in the dressing room and let him make his own way home. utterly pathetic performance. 1

Pretty sure about 75% of the forum said the same last season, but hey here we are safe as houses.
obelisk Posted 21 April, 2022 Posted 21 April, 2022 Saints going backwards, sideways, backwards. Chance. Missed. 1
