Good piece about the Saints being Ed Chamberlain's (and his son's)favourite club in today Sunday Times.

His favourite player was Steve Williams

He occasionally makes references to Southampton when presenting horse racing on ITV. Little references to things like red and white stripes being good things on a jockey's silks. 

The top trainer Andrew Balding (brother of Clare) is also a Saints fan. Chamberlain makes Balding's support well known and apparently they give each other score updates if a match is taking place during the racing.

My daughter told me that he did not do web forums and the like but that was when he was at Sky so maybe it's changed !
