Did the team all pop viagra instead of vitamin pills this morning, they are all playing like they are trying to hide embarrassing errections...

A team of stiffs...

Or perhaps it's Ralph's rigid tactics that are to blame.

OMG - this is as bad as I've ever seen us. Foster MoTM so far - the only player who is coming out with any credit.

Any positives anywhere from anyone? Seeking solace.

Season ends soon.

In the unlikely event that we score one , is 1-10 considered a better or worse result than 0-9?

(Asking on behalf of Ralphs interview script writer)

Looking at the line up on paper you'd say this is probably the strongest team we can field.

Ralph got it wrong?

Motivation, or lack of ?

He's lost the dressing room.

He seems to freeze out players so maybe this treatment has turned the players against him.

It's the last time we have to play Chelsea this season.

We should be safe from going down?

As opposed to the Champions of Europe winning vs Brentford and being full of confidence when we play them? You can turn it into a negative either way.

I think what is more key is the fixture sandwich in the opening post of this thread. Chelsea have very little in the way of recovery and preparation time with two games vs Real Madrid either side of playing Saints.

Oh dear...

Did we set up differently for this match as we did well against Chelsea, City, Utd and Spurs a few months ago.

Yeah this.  Get this season out the way and perhaps the owners have a strategy for us all to get behind for next season.

We are a complete laughing stock yet we will stick with Ralph as "ocassionally we play some decent stuff"... And that's all that counts screw the record defeats.... And ridiculously poor runs

Might get an insight into the new owners ambitions after this.

No hiding place for Ralph after this debacle. He must face the cameras and explain what is going on to result in these recent displays culminating in this one. There's more to it than we are being told.

It just doesn’t make sense though, surely the ones on the pitch shouldn’t be against him?

This is his most picked side other than Broja?

I don’t think he has lost the dressing room, the players are woefully limited and then when we do go 2 down really quickly he is tactically woeful at shutting up shop. Then queue Ralph trying to do a random sub to fix things (see Valery for Romeu) and it makes no difference.

I get that Chelsea have more money than us, but in a professional sports league this scoreline shouldn’t really happen unless there are mitigating circumstances e.g. major injuries, playing the U23s, red cards, dubious referee decisions etc etc etc

What is Ralph’s excuse today?

It'll shake us out of end of season complacency

The squad needs a huge rocket up the backside either way. When a more talented side works harder than you, it can only go one way. Saints fans will forgive more than most - and boy have we had to since Koeman left - but lack of work ethic is one thing we won’t forgive. Atmosphere could turn toxic if there isn’t a major reaction in the remaining home games plus a clear plan to rebuild the squad and add some character/resilience.

Chelsea players are the ones with the hard ons, mate.

The last time I left early was the Friday night in the rain.. a sending off we could blame that night but not today 10 times worse on all levels bar the score ! There’s still time for Chelsea to put that right !! Unacceptable!!!

Idiots out in force today

The players have been shit, end of story. Same tactics got us positive results against Tottenham, Man City and Man Utd. Players 100% to blame

Since the Athletic told the world our going down after 60 odd minutes and the back lash from that, I dont think we do it now. Anyone know how our results have been since then????
