Really winds me up how they make us wait months.  Given it's a new shirt every year, the prime time for wearing a new football shirt is the summer before the season starts.  The following summer, the shirt is old hat.

There's never a prime time for an adult to wear a football shirt, apart from when playing football.

So what do we think boys?  Can Semmens pull out all the stops and excel himself and get a kit out before mid August?

I think there might be a slight backlog. We've only just announced the Stephens contract signed back in 2020...

if it means no more god damn terrible green shirts, then that's great.

Damn it, that's why I thought we'd been playing well all season.

Away keeper's kit...? (outfield = wavy blue stripes, as previously intimated on here?)

That's the season just gone's keeper kit.

Ah... ignore me in that case! :) (maybe shows how anonymous our keepers were at times last season! Either that or I'm getting more senile quicker than I thought...)

Is every Hummel kit release going to be randomly posted up here?

They give us absolutely no insight into what our kit will be as it is bespoke, but still interesting to see what `we could have won', the standard of other Hummel kits in 22/23 and have something to look at while we wait. It's pretty standard posting on this annual thread.

All a bit of fun, speculation etc designing nice ones and then our disappointment at what we actually get!! The big rumour is the white one with single red stripe. Not my cup of tea ….. right off to the cricket Haasammmmpppshire 🥵

Bristol City home shirt, and yes we've always posted about other teams from the same kit maker. More so with template manufacturers for hints as to what ours could be. Otherwise you could just wait until the official unveiling and be done with itspacer.png

Actually really like that overall kit for city. Pretty smart. I find myself abaolutely loving the socks even though I usually don't like hoops for saints (with stripes).

And that's why they rarely get it right in many fans eyes...I think it's 'orrible!

Agree.

And if I was a Bristol City fan I’d be fuming that my team were wearing a blatant copy of an Arsenal strip.

Unless of course they see it as a retro from 1954-55. when they won the Football League Division 3 (South).

Fair point. Wasn’t aware of that.

I like it, probably because it fits a toned up person. What would that look like on a fatty?

Aren't stripes meant to be slimming? 😉

Absolutely drooling at that.

Black shorts and red socks with it.

I hope Hummel keep tabs on this 😁

No thanks. White socks. Never liked it when we had red socks.

Tbf the black socks we had in 89/90 were absolutely brilliant. They had a little Saints badge stitched into them. I bought a pair for 1.99 from sportskit and used to always wear them for kick abouts and 5 a side. That kit was the best stripes kit that saints ever had Imo, and saw the 4-1 dismantling of Liverpool at the Dell.

how about red & white hooped socks as a compromise

Or one red sock and one white sock. Proper trendsetting. Another Saints "first". 🤣
