No shame in this, the team have given it everything, a bit of luck and no mistakes and we'd be in it or winning. But how often do you really manage that?

Saints fans in the ground though have been a real dissapointment based on the BBC coverage. Maybe the mics are in a bad spot, but it's sounded like a city homegame most of the match.

Chants of "your support is f'ing shit" and fans leaving with 15min to go. Players deserve better backing than this. Ditto people raging at the players here when they run their socks off vs one of the best teams in the world.

What’s your argument? It was a stone wall pen, that was given and checked on VaR amd still given.

Other than some made up scenario in your head where that wouldn’t have been given the other end, I don’t really know what you’re trying to prove.

It was a soft penalty at best. Calling it stonewall is ridiculous.

I’m which case, they’d be right in looking at it up the other end then?

It wasn’t soft, it was fucking obvious.

You saying it was soft, doesn't mean it was.

None of our players made a fuss. They knew it was a penalty all day.

Both their subs score, their strength in depth is too much and why they want five subs in the league. Equally, if there wasn’t five subs we possibly don’t start both Broja and Adams on the bench, as using 2/3 to bring them on poses a bit more of a risk than 2/5. Shit rule. Doesn’t deserve a 4-1 score line. But, we all know the defence needs bolstering.

To beat City Saints needed to limit defensive mistakes and to take their chances when they came along. That's the difference.

Yeah. Solid no nonsense defence, take our chances, ride our luck. We got lucky with the equalizer but that's about it.

Some of you aren’t going to like this but Forster has now reverted to type. Despite being 6’7” he flaps at a cross he should have caught or punched and it goes out for a throw (goal 3) and gets beaten low, near-post (goal 4).

City have ruthlessly exploited our known weaknesses. Every gooal has come from a clear error.

No, you’re right, it was the player going down too easy made it a soft penalty.

As I said earlier, the Pen killed the game for us. Prevented any real opportunity to hit them on the break.

We're 1-4 down at home, in a game where we could've been three up if we'd taken our chances.

But that’s what billions of Dirhams buys you, top quality players who finish their chances. As opposed to a £15m striker and whatever Shane Long is.

Finishing makes the difference, as always. Adams and Armstrong just both strike the ball poorly and that's never going to change.

No idea why Broja did not start this game.  Some of the breaks we had, he'd of been in his element.

I’m sorry but any premier league striker should be taking 2 or 3 of those chances (thinking Armstrong off the post and Adams).

That's what happens and will continue to happen in cup games when we disperse our kop end and give the seats to away fans.

Fucking idiotic challenge by Salisu turned the game on its head. We were looking the more likely to go ahead.

Looking at it Moi couldn't decide what to do while breaking, they score straight after. The likes of Foden just act, quick as lightning.

Neither are Premier League strikers, that’s pretty much my point.

Oh I got you! Yep agreed.

Adams is a bit more of a rounded and technically better Shane Long and Armstrong looks miles off being a premier league player on today’s display. Really average.

Dunno why you comment? You just spout crap. How on earth you can put any blame on Forster for two of their goals is beyond parody. What a melt.
