that's a pen for me. Very unlucky that it hit his hand, but he had his arm up high.

Agree. I remember one given against stephens when we played Burnley a few seasons back.

Broja taken out by Foster

Long chosen over Armstrong.

So that makes him, 5th choice..?

Goal aside Ely has been total shit today.

Everyone has, including the subs.

unfair to pick out 1 player imo.

Long = goals!

Yep, 4 a season if you're lucky, and he's scored one off those already.

Especially the player that is surely our second top goalscorer this season?

Not arsed by this defeat. We looked fookin rubbish and will get drubbed by City in the cup if they don't improve massively. Bednarek so crap in the air as well, never looks like he is going to win a header.

Sissoko been a boss for them today. Glad Everton lost, makes it a bit easier.

Didn't take a lot of out-fighting, we gifted it to them.

Not sure where the mindset of this team is? just so fragile

Comes from the manager. Didn't turn up for Villa, poor against the Toon, and I am not sure they had any idea as to how they were told to play today.

On the beach performance again for the league. Can’t imagine Pep is at all concerned for next week from what he’s seen from us recently. I guess Ralph will go back to the last cup line up and hope for the best.

Funny old game eh?

We put out our reserves and we think the club are prioritizing the league, win that one vs the first team of the team 5th in the league.. Then we lose 3 straight to teams below us (2 at home).

Lol as if the manager is telling them to play badly

Players have to take responsibility on the pitch and nobody did

Total garbage from top to bottom.  Forget this game, after the last two games,  you would think the players would be busting a gut to win this. It was a stroll in the park for Watford. Next week could be bloody embarrassing live on national TV.

Can't even get particularly bothered about that because it was all a bit predictable. We are well used to this team building up our hopes that they are capable of something and then they proceed to disappoint us with a run of abysmal form. It's just the way of things. Good job we have plenty of points in the bag.

How can we have gone from an unstoppable well oiled machine 11 days ago to being so disjointed and not flowing now?

But this team can play sublime football one minute and completely wave the white flag the next, seems a common theme with Ralph's style, severe lack of consistency! And no answers to any team that gets players behind the ball

We seem to be the masters at taking our foot off the pedal once we get a sniff of relative safety around March time. That's 3 half-hearted games on the trot. Baffling after such a good c.3 month period (aka "a few games"). Maybe the players have got wind of all the superstars that Dragan intends splashing out on in the summer...? ;)

Minds on cup game, let’s not get out of proportion.

Going into the cup game on the back of 3 defeats, 2 at home, and the last one against Watford. We are really going to be full of confidence.

Wow, when the wheels come off they really come off.  Awful today (same as the last 2 games where we were hopeless) - from the manager trying to be too clever with the starting line-up through to the players who looked clueless.

Teams have well and truly worked us out again - give use the ball, pack the midfield and know we have no creativity.

I would have Stephens over Bednarek every day of the week.

As well as we played for 12-15 games we have played hopelessly in the last 3.  Will we get any more points this season (of course we will but not if we play like the last 3 games)?

Oh well, just one of those months then...

As long as one of those months don’t become one of those years….

What a fucking shite week. Need to be looking 5-6 points, we ended it with zero 😂

Villa was bad, Newcastle was pathetic and today somehow managed to be the worst of the lot

Nobody was even semi decent today. Absolutely embarassing performances from Salisu, Bednarek, Forster, Romeu, Moi and Armstrong.

The run of good form looks a distant memory now, and so does the top half ambitions. Lucky we've enough points on the board already
