Nemi Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 (edited) Have Saints really trained out all of Livramento’s desire to take someone on? Bizarre that he’s no longer driving forward and just going backwards - it’s really held up our play. Edited 10 March, 2022 by Nemi 4
CB Fry Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 That lovely rest they all had for the Cup game has done them the absolute world of good. 2
obelisk Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Only one team looks remotely like scoring and it ain't Saints. 1

Still unsure why we have changed the winning side with Perroud and KWP. 1

Nemi Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Three strikers on the pitch and no-one anticipated that.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 there will come a point where play will just go on past those fallen with "cramp"
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Do we ever score stoppage time goals??
trousers Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 6 mins + an extra minute for the ongoing hold up
Sheaf Saint Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Just now, trousers said: At least 5 mins added time here, surely? They announced 6 but there will be more.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 rats. Tall people clear headers as well as score goals.

Should just be fitter. You don't stop and wait for a player that is slower than you, so why stop for a player that is less fit?
obelisk Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 I think JWP's corners are actually getting worse.
Saints foreva Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Stoppage time and it is so comfortable for them.

BotleySaint Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 All sorts of arms out to hold adams back there..

Saint86 Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Fixture congestion showing for us at the moment i think - i.e. we're lacking time to prepare between matches. Typical that in this instance it was caused by Newcastle skiving off a match so they could make new singings, and then two of their main signings score their first goals against us. I'm sure Ralph's pre match chat did nothing to motivate the Newcastle players mind...

Dr Who? Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 So much of the ball. Fuck all with it. Fed up of the same flat end to the season when we are ‘safe’. I hope we do not go out of the cup with a whimper! 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Cunts cunts cunts cunts cunts cunts cunts. Dirty fucking cheating cunts. 4 1
Streaky Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Back to playing slow passes with no end product. That's not us, if its not quick cutting through the lines then results go downhill. 1

obelisk Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 I've been boring about this for ages but Saints just have no idea in the final third. It's pointless having loads of possession if you do eff all with it. 1
Dragon_man Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Seems ironic that Newcastle will probably finish higher than us. Have to admire them and Eddie. Newcastle fans demand it, whereas Saints .... well, we're just happy with how it is I guess. 1
Baird of the land Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Atrocious from Saints. So little intensity for most of the game. Newcastle are a really poor side but they actually wanted to win while Saints wanted to pass the ball backwards slowly.
CB Fry Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Still, at least we can sleep easily knowing that only one player out of the Villa squad would improve us. 1
S-Clarke Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 (edited) Well, that was shit. Second half was an absolute disaster. We pretty much confirmed ourselves as the most streaky team, ever. We go from one extreme to the other, there's no middle ground with us. We can't seem to get results over the line when we play poorly. There is no justice in this world though, it just had to be the two players they'd signed in January who won this game. No fairness in life I think we've all come to learn. Onto Sunday I guess, Watford will want to bounce back though and that won't be easy. I hope we're not going in the direction I fear we are, i.e an amazing run of form followed by an absolute load of abject trash over a prolonged period, like we've done before. Edited 10 March, 2022 by S-Clarke
Sunglasses Ron Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 You always know a run of shit results is just round the corner, so you just have to enjoy the good times whilst they last. Hopefully Watford are so bad that we couldn’t possibly make it 3 defeats in a row.
TWar Posted 10 March, 2022 Posted 10 March, 2022 Just not at it today, bit of bad luck at times but that happens. Newcastle, predictably, won using £75m or so of Jan transfers scoring the goals, Ralph was right to complain. It's a completely different team post saudi money.
