It's utter bullsh1t. Include Everton too as the 4th biggest team in the draw and they all avoid each other again. Just like the last round when 8 out of the 9 Prem clubs all avoided each other. They want all of those 4 clubs at Wembley. The refs will make sure that happens too, I have little doubt.

I’m more annoyed at how easy the draw is for the other big teams, not even a Merseyside Derby or something to trip them up. If we managed to pull of the unexpected, that leaves us needing to beat Liverpool and Chelsea in the semi and final.

How typical though, all the big teams avoid each other...If I was a conspiracist I'd say they drew it in such a way which gave the 4 intended teams the FA want through the best possible ties.

I'm sure the FA will want a Merseyside fixture in Wembley, with a City vs Chelsea "Champions League" repeat as the other game.

I'm sure the police would rather that didn't happen, would be around 80,000 Scousers in London!

We could have been away, so that's the only positive. Generally we needed to avoid City or Liverpool and have them play each other in the earlier rounds, but they're not (Chelsea avoided a tough draw as well).

It really hasn't opened up this year, certainly not like last season.

Annoying but not surprising that the big 3 sides avoided each other. Might have to beat all 3 to win the trophy…🙄 would have much rather played Huddersfield and then Everton to get to the final!

Still, they haven’t beaten us this season, we’re playing well, and hopefully we’ll put out our best side.

At least we’ve taken the last chance to face them at St Mary’s, instead of most likely having to face them at Wembley.

Always a long shot but probably not the worst outcome in terms of overall chance of lifting the Cup.

Wigan beat City a few years back in the final on neutral territory (obviously). We are far better than that Wigan side were (got relegated that very season ffs) and are on home turf. Given these facts it's hard to see anything other that a Saints victory. C'mon!!!

That draw has really messed things up.

As mentioned the route to cup glory means Saints have to beat at least two of City / Chelsea / Liverpool. I'm an optimistic guy but that is stretching it a bit.

Home draw is good though, I wonder if the club will revert to the old days of leaving part of the Northam for home fans or just carry on with this nonsense of giving them  whole end but leaving 2 blocks (about 1000 seats) as segregation

Man City haven't beaten us in the 2 Prem fixtures this season so I am feeling quietly confident. I would be more concerned if we had been drawn away to Middlesborough. If we want to win a trophy we have to play the top teams. Although last night's selection wasn't so bad in the end I hope Ralph picks our very best for the City game. We may have been able to take time to get our act together against the likes of West Ham last night but I don't think we should push our luck against City.

Wigan beat Man City as a League 1 side a few years ago, and we played them next round (think it was Mark Hughes first game in charge).

Initial thought was "bollocks, not the draw wanted..." but have come round to it.

City have a vast array of talent, and no immediate flaws, but they can be inconsistent, and we have had the measure of them this season so far. 

Think it's winnable with our best team playing, so not the game for rotation. This should be our priority fixture now.
