Just a thought..... I wonder how and when the Everton team were planning on travelling down for Saturday's game....?

I'd imagine they would be flying down on Friday!!

That's what I would have thought... Hope they've got a plan B up their sleeve in that case!

I built a gazebo last summer, designed it myself completely from scratch. This'll be the biggest test it's faced thus far, if it's still standing when we play Everton I'll feel like a real man.

Being in Somerset I'm going to be bearing the brunt of this next storm. If my ancient garden fence survives I'll be mightily relieved and equally surprised  😖

I'm in North Devon... 😲

I'm right on the boundary between yellow and amber.

What would that make? Mustard perhaps?

I'm sure a mustard warning for wind is not uncommon in my house.

Personally, I try to steer clear of yellow snow.

I don't remember us having back to back storms like this before Brexit.

I notice the red warning zone finishes at it gets close to Eton. Boris looking after his chums again. 🙄

Guess where I am?

One fence panel came down on Wednesday night - it can stay where it is until next week once these storms blow through.

So decision time, so I take the 6 hour drive from Yorkshire to Bournemouth tomorrow/Saturday or not?

Won't be fun with cross winds on the motorway catching your motor and the lorries around you. I've got  an hour drive further west tomorrow and will take my chances on that, but personally wouldn't do 6 hours.

I was emailed today by the Soton council, bin collections tomorrow suspended due to the wind (or was it Covid and injuries), any excuse not to do their job, falling trees and a maelstrom of wheelie bins were cited. Dunkirk spirit eh ?

Have you sought out any support? There are always hidden victims but important to find courage to seek help.

I'm too shaken up at the moment, may reach out when I feel able.

And the bloody clowns who were trip wiring across from chimney to chimney in our road have cried off.

I find setting fire to a neighbours bin helps

Frank Zappa, I think.

I remember it as:

That is where the Huskies go"..

Thornden school is closed tomorrow. Any excuse.

They’ve all been told to shut by the LEA. Better safe than dead.
