Hope I'm not jinxing things......

...... we're going to put 5 or 6 past someone before the season ends.

Great performance today. Again. Loving it.

dropping Armstrong for Tino was a ridiculous decision that would never have happened.

We're 5 points above villa now too btw

Pickford kicking the ball as far as possible to some vague big man who rarely wins it is not a tactic, it's a comedic tribute to football past.

Great to see little us, with our magical drinks breaks, playing so well - and massive clubs like Everton looking clueless.

Until we get 40 points, we need to be on our guard!

Please tell me you're joking as I can't tell. We could probably not win another game and still be comfortable. We're 14points ahead of Watford ffs.i can't see any of the current bottom 3 hitting 30points.

He did improve at that though. He passed multiple times instead of having long range shots and his goal was from inside the box. Seems like Ralph had the same note as me and let him know mid week. Also Tino, who I suggested replace him, did start and got a peach of an assist for our second. So alls well that ends well!

I think the opposite looks true.

it looks like we’ve been told to shoot more to create more. Everyone seems to be having a go! And just getting shots off, from outside the box or cutting inside. perraud, walker peters, Armstrong, Romeu , jwp all seem to have been having a go in the last few games.

Personally love it. Great entertainment. And has coincided with uptick in form.

Revenge is sweet! The ‘pundits?’ Had us down to draw and lose. Some of the football we played today was ‘Pretty to watch Nipper’ Long may it continue.  Outstanding performances all over the pitch by our lads. We can clip the Canaries wings on Friday too. Onwards and Upwards.

Shhh they might try and poach A. Armstrong from us with all that ceiling he’s got.

Okay first half. Really good second. Was a bit worried at the start of the second half for a few mins, then we coasted it.

Hard to look up or down the league and see much that affects us just now. Put all our chips on the cup, surely?

A bit like Eddie Howe since he come in. The list could go on both ways, so for the benefit of the thread, let’s enjoy the win 👍🏻

We need to be very proud of Ralph and his team at the moment. Like many others I've sometimes doubted him but right now he has got us playing at another level. Goals are coming in open play and from different players - Broja is fantastic but we are not just reliant on him or Che. Romeu is currently one of the best midfield players in the Premier league and is doing his stuff week in week out. Stuart Armstrong fit and firing is massive for us and I still think there's more to come from him after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Spurs must be kicking themselves for letting KWP go - he is better than anything they have.  The defence is looking solid and of course, when you can bring on Shane Long to wrap up the points what's not to like - so pleased to see him get a goal today. JWP we just take for granted and Moi is putting in some clever performances. The Everton forum is a good read, most of them unable to bring themselves to admit that we are a very good football team and handed their rag-bag bunch a lesson today. Could and should have been a much bigger beating. Bring on Norwich.

Absolutely shocking complacency.

I didn't say we should stop winning games. My point was that we may already be effectively be safe from relegation. No chance 40 points with be needed.

Eddie Howe spent a shit tonne in Jan and it's coming off. But you are right. Maybe in the future we should draw a line under these old boring conversations we've had and live in the present. And in the present I'm extatic, our team is class.

Without trying to put a downer on things, which I’m not, honestly… how bad are Everton.

A huge job for Frank and if they continue like today, could very easily get dragged in to the bottom 3.

I think, the bottom 3 will stay as is, but If I was them, I’d be looking over my shoulder.

It's a team devoid of confidence. They had a rough start to the season due to injuries imo but now they seem absolutely terrified. Also, based on his last couple of games, dodging Alli seems to have been a decent move.

Are Everton attacking the Northam in the first half? Been a while since that happened.

Everton won the toss and chose to play towards their own fans first. Presumably because the sun would be shining in Forster’s face.

Not very impressed by Frank Lampard’s Everton.

Enjoyed that, particularly once we got going. It’s nice to have a routine win for a change.

They were piss poor tho

Aside form all else, we out-muscled Everton today, particularly Romeu who seems to relish the mini battles in midfield, our tails are well and truely up and it's showing in the commitment. I love KWP, what a player he is developing into, boundless energy, skill to pass a player and a terrier in tackles. SA back to his best with great bursting runs, Salisu took some hammer today but was solid as ever. For most of the game we made a "resurgent" Everton look like relegation fodder (0 shots on target), and lastly a big shout for Long, much maligned over the years but still has much to offer in the limited game time he gets now, very good intelligent header at the back post sealed the points - the team were overjoyed for him you could see.

What a turnaround by RH in the last few months. I've not seen a Saints team with this kind of cohesion and commitment in many a long year. We had that spell when football returned from the first covid break, that little spell that got us top of the league last season, but the performances were never as clinical as this.

My faith in RH faltered a bit early in this season due to some of his selections, substitutions and formations but wow, we are superb right now. If we could dip into the transfer market in the summer to strengthen at CB, GK and AM (also FWD if we lose Broja) we could have a real go at European qualification.

Polished, professional performance. Armstrong my MOTM although Romeu immense again. Only gripe is we should have scored more. Everton poor and deserve to be where they are. Must press on and get a big win against Norwich after we gave them the points at Carrow Road.

That was the best performance I have seen from Saints this season. Although we had to wait to get the breakthrough it never was in any doubt really. The most comfortable game we have had all season I think. Special mention to Shane Long, really pleased that he came on and scored. To be fair, it was a terrific header.

Getting lost in all this is the disappearance of our beloved @Lord Duckhunter

Son-in-laws out for Duckie!

In his honour I've insulted a female sports host, switched off some women's football in disgust and got in a ruck with some rude boys outside our local station.

Now to neck 8 pints and shag the barmaid...

It’s taken a while with CA so let’s give AA the same.

Difference is from the beginning Che Adams' all round game was good, just the goals were missing. Same isn't true for Adam Armstrong.

Very poor team this season. A badly unbalanced squad lacking any confidence, and they've got a nasty run of fixtures coming up. Their next 3 are City, Spurs and Wolves. Really wouldn't be surprised to see them in the bottom 3 after that.

In your opinion

Well as I was the one who said it... yes my opinion (who else's would it be? 🤔). Stats also back that opinion up. He is too easily brushed off the ball, unlike Adams even when he first joined.

We played them off the park, so assured on the ball and defensively structured throughout. A lot of players potentially MOTM but I'd go JWP, he played some blinding balls and helped control the midfield, special mention to Che for his tracking back and general attacking today too. This is the most excited I've been by the future of Saints since the Koeman/ Poch days, long may it continue.
