VictiAbNonem Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 I think Theo might score against this Everton defence.
egg Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 I've always said that Ralph is a genius. Honestly Could be 5 + up here. Ridiculous how we've turned around. 3

Bit limited these days but able to be effective. 1

OttawaSaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 (edited) Saints pressing and crisp quick passing and interchanging a joy to watch. Just finishing that was a bit off. I love how quickly and physically we get into the oppo's faces when they have the ball. Must be infuriating to play against. Edited 19 February, 2022 by OttawaSaint
Saint_clark Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Are the saints fans chanting somthing about red bull?
igsey Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 I'd be delighted if we keep a clean sheet here.
OttawaSaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Lots of scores going our way today. Love it!!!

coalman Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Love the calm way our stewards dealt with that blue flare
Chez Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 these teams that run themselves into the ground in the first 20 minutes and then fade in the second half... 1 5
OttawaSaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Enjoyed that. Simply too good for them.
Saints foreva Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Well done boys, really enjoyable second half.
obelisk Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Saints so much the better side. After the first 10-15 minutes it became a stroll. Should have won far more comfortably really.
farawaysaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Really happy for Long, he still puts in a shift every time he comes on. At 35 he’s not going to score many and he wasn’t exactly famous for it in his prime but I have a massive soft spot for him. 9

Baird of the land Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Everton barring 5 minutes either side of ht were complete garbage. Saints excellent again. Any Chance everton will do a Leicester(Bertrand) and sign Shane Long?
trousers Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Great to see Ralph doing a lap of honour there to thank the fans. What a legend 1
coalman Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 (edited) That's the most one sided 2-0 I've seen. Weathered the storm then never looked troubled. Everything stuck to Romeu. And our passing was so composed and slick. Edited 19 February, 2022 by coalman
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 So, that's a squad with 500m spent on it. Ouch. Not in the same class as us today. Loads of good performances again, with a couple of silly moments later on (Adams giving the ball away, and a near mix up at the back), but vastly more pluses. Great to see Long on the scoresheet. Always like him to do well.
adrian lord Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Lampard and Gerrard aren't going find management easy. 2
Baird of the land Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 I also enjoyed Coleman complaining to the ref about our usual 70 minute stoppage Their assistant at the same time pulling Gomes to the side ( and at least in my head giving him instructions to stop being useless) Broja's face after Long scored.

moonraker Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Everton were terrible, we also made it hard for them they couldn’t handle our intensity. Only minor downside, we should have 5 or 6. 1
Charlie Wayman Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 We were magnificent today. Total domination and a stroll in the park. Romeu surely MotM but most played out of their skins. Good to see Stuart Armstrong on fire at last. Well done again Ralph, we look nigh on unbeatable at the moment. A lovely moment when Shane netted, worth the entry price. Onwards and upwards COYS

OttawaSaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Everton couldn't get anything on target, not even the flare at the end... 2
OttawaSaint Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 (edited) That Everton fan managed to get more flare on the park in one minute than Lampard did in 90+ Edited 19 February, 2022 by OttawaSaint

qwertyell Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 A 2-0 battering. Really should've been 5 or 6. Not a lot of fight in this Everton side. 32 points. That's enough, I think, to say we can look forward to another season in this league and start focusing more of our resources on giving the FA Cup a red hot go. Watford and Burnley winning makes the bottom 7 or so look a horrible place to be dicking around with - glad to be well out of it. 1
Chez Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 56% possession and 19 shots to 9 reflects the dominance. i thought Everton were a real problem early on. They pressed hard and we had no time and struggled control the game. Boy did that change. Once again Romeu was an absolute rock in midfield, holding the ball just that little bit longer to enable players to get into space, but then never losing it when under pressure. I get a lot of Jimmy Case vibes, but without the long shooting ability. He's probably a far better player. He really is in top form. Same can be said about KWP. He could play at the very top level IMO. 2
VictiAbNonem Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 I thought Elyounoussi had another really good game. He's definitely worked his way into our best XI. 6
TWar Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Class game. Should have been out of sight. Romeu motm for me, was phenomenal 1

He's definitely turned things around for himself. I suppose it makes sense, in Hasenhuttl's formation, that the best number 10s for us are actual number 10s - technical players - rather than converted wingers like Redmond, Djenepo, Walcott, Tella etc. Still wish we had more quality in that position, mind you. 2
LiberalCommunist Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Complete and utter domination. For the first 20 minutes I wondered if Everton could keep the tempo up, as I've never seen them work so hard. Turns out, they couldn't. We should have put them to the sword really, but some great team play and build ups involved in some wayward shooting and wrong decision making. For all Evertons diving, and thrashing around on the deck in peril, I thought they were lucky to finish the game with 11. Top Half Baby! UTS 2
Streaky Posted 19 February, 2022 Posted 19 February, 2022 Can anybody post a form table. I have no idea how to do it. Would be nice to see.
