trousers Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Our supporters need to stop shouting "shooooot!" when Romeu gets the ball 30 yards out!
Saints foreva Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Ahhh awkward bounce for Armstrong there.

Chez Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 none of you need me to tell you, but fuckin ell, Broja is the real deal. Is there a better striker in the Prem at this moment? 1
BotleySaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Just too high for him to hit. We've had a couple of good chances. Could easily be 1-1.
OttawaSaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 We've not been bad. United are quality and have been under the microscope all week. If we can ride it out to HT and keep making chances we could pinch one. 3
Mallagroth Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Getting better we’ve been a lot more lively in last 10 mins and look more threatening. Think maybe the old Trafford jitters are settling. Keep the score to half time and we can still get something from this 2
DT Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 If we want fresh legs and a bit more zip I’d suggest resting KWP and brining Livramento on. Che has been very poor though 1
moonraker Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 (edited) United continuous fouls need to be punished Edited 12 February, 2022 by moonraker 2
Saint NL Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Pretty good so far, I'd say we've been the better team. Broja has been very quiet, if he can get into the game then we have a real chance
Sheaf Saint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Perraud is gonna get one soon. Just needed to hit that a bit harder.
obelisk Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 If Saints could just convert more chances. It's one area that needs improvement.

OttawaSaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Lots of diving in with feet raised by Utd.
Chez Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Good to see Perraud still going for that despite it being on his right peg. We are creating chances at least. Feels like its only time until we concede again though. Really need to get a goal and knock the stuffing out of them
OttawaSaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 (edited) Lol. Pogba! Ronaldo only 10 yards off... Edited 12 February, 2022 by OttawaSaint
OttawaSaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 I think we did well there. They broke a few times but we grew into that and could be level. 1
trousers Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 (edited) 1-0 at half time. Happy with that all things considered. We've had a couple more attempts on goal and slightly more possession. Edited 12 February, 2022 by trousers
obelisk Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Saints doing ok, creating chances but starting to look a bit laboured towards the half time. Not out of this by any means.

gammon cheeks Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Just got to be patient and not press so high as its too risky against united ......
SaintBobby Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Pretty good first half all in all. Kinda feel we just need a lucky bounce or two. 1

benjii Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Very much in with a shot here. Unfortunately the 15 mins with the back 3 worked out badly as we missed Romeu too much in midfield. I can see why Ralph changed as we were getting overrun out wide but it was a mistake, in hindsight. When we get on the ball we’re good. Just need to watch against over committing as counter attack is the only way they look likely to hurt us. 3

Baird of the land Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Thought Armstrong had scored with that volley. Overall the score probably a fair reflection. They've looked very dangerous breaking on us. Saints looked ok but not quite as sharp as wednesday. Hopefully Ralph will look to freshen up early in the second half.

NewYorkSaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Any independent looking at that would say Saints at least as good a team as Man U.... Which means that performance/£ is 3x. I just love watching Saints play. Brilliant, fast, composed passing. If the gods are with us, an equalizer is in our future.
BotleySaint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 We look pretty solid. Yet with their quality I think Utd could probably beat us easily if they put a bit more effort in.
coalman Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 United's last two games. Go 1-0 up then lose interest second half.
Sheaf Saint Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 I'm actually surprised at the number of fouls the ref has given in our favour. Quite unusual for OT.
Baird of the land Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Found it really annoying despite showing multiple replays that BT Sport commentators failed to even notice Sancho's shot came off KWP.

It’s not the first time I’ve noticed his biased comments against Saints and pro- any team that plays us. He seems to hate us. Wonderful BBC impartiality. I’m not watching the game as I don’t have BT so largely I read the positivity and negativity on here. It sounds like we started slowly and came back into it. Be brave Saints and keep pushing. The best thing about Saints win against Spuds is our heads didn’t go down. 1

qwertyell Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Not quite at it today - the sharpness of touch and movement from midweek isn't there. Very open at the back - feels like United could run away with the game if they were more ruthless. But it's only 1-0 and we've cobbled together some chances ourselves. Wouldn't count out a cheeky point. Not betting the house on it, though.
Turkish Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 We’re still in this and will get chances. A draw will still be a very good result. 2
S-Clarke Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 (edited) Still well in the game. Utd started at a much faster pace than us and it took us a while to get into it as we couldn't get near them. Utd have dropped off a little though, certainly after 30 mins, which allowed us to get more of a foothold as the pace slowed down. Certainly still in for a chance of something, we looked the most likely in the final 10 mins. Edited 12 February, 2022 by S-Clarke
Miltonaggro Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 Still well in this and seem well up for it. Keep up workrate, rub of the green and some superstar / franchise fans complacency and we might get something. COYR!
LiberalCommunist Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 (edited) Feels like we've been saving our energy somewhat. Bodes well for the second half. But, must not get too gung ho. Silly mistakes will get punished. But if we can keep it tight, it won't take much to turn the crowd toxic. Come Saints. Box clever now...... Edited 12 February, 2022 by LiberalCommunist 1
davefizzy14 Posted 12 February, 2022 Posted 12 February, 2022 We are still in this and all we need is one chance. We've created a fair few so far. COYR
