none of you need me to tell you, but fuckin ell, Broja is the real deal.

Is there a better striker in the Prem at this moment?

Getting better we’ve been a lot more lively in last 10 mins and look more threatening. Think maybe the old Trafford jitters are settling. Keep the score to half time and we can still get something from this

If we want fresh legs and a bit more zip I’d suggest resting KWP and brining Livramento on.
Che has been very poor though

Good to see Perraud still going for that despite it being on his right peg.

We are creating chances at least. Feels like its only time until we concede again though. Really need to get a goal and knock the stuffing out of them

1-0 at half time. Happy with that all things considered. We've had a couple more attempts on goal and slightly more possession.

Very much in with a shot here. Unfortunately the 15 mins with the back 3 worked out badly as we missed Romeu too much in midfield. I can see why Ralph changed as we were getting overrun out wide but it was a mistake, in hindsight.

When we get on the ball we’re good. Just need to watch against over committing as counter attack is the only way they look likely to hurt us.

I'm still blaming you for it not being 0-0 though 😉

Next you'll be telling me not to post the league table when we go 2-1 up with 10 minutes to go... ;)

Thought Armstrong had scored with that volley. Overall the score probably a fair reflection. They've looked very dangerous breaking on us. Saints looked ok but not quite as sharp as wednesday.

Hopefully Ralph will look to freshen up early in the second half.

Has pace, strength and finishes well. If he can add decision-making he'll be awesome

Any independent looking at that would say Saints at least as good a team as Man U....  Which means that performance/£ is 3x.  I just love watching Saints play. Brilliant, fast, composed passing. If the gods are with us, an equalizer is in our future.

He got a deceptive bounce to be fair

Needed to wait an extra half second really. Shaw was moving across, not towards the ball...he still had time.

I'm actually surprised at the number of fouls the ref has given in our favour. Quite unusual for OT.

Don't worry, Fernandes will go explain to him during half time. That won't happen second half

Really f**king me off that Ronaldo keeps going and "explaining" things to the ref. Tell him to jog on.

BBC text updates totally pro-UTD

Shamoon Hafez. It’s not the first time I’ve noticed his biased comments against Saints and pro- any team that plays us. He seems to hate us. Wonderful BBC impartiality.

I’m not watching the game as I don’t have BT so largely I read the positivity and negativity on here. It sounds like we started slowly and came back into it. Be brave Saints and keep pushing. The best thing about Saints win against Spuds is our heads didn’t go down.

Our supporters need to stop shouting "shooooot!" when Romeu gets the ball 30 yards out!

Why? It’s absolutely hilarious

Found it really annoying despite showing multiple replays that BT Sport commentators failed to even notice Sancho's shot came off KWP.

Hoddle just mentioned it.

Not quite at it today - the sharpness of touch and movement from midweek isn't there. Very open at the back - feels like United could run away with the game if they were more ruthless.

But it's only 1-0 and we've cobbled together some chances ourselves. Wouldn't count out a cheeky point. Not betting the house on it, though.

Still well in the game. Utd started at a much faster pace than us and it took us a while to get into it as we couldn't get near them.

Utd have dropped off a little though, certainly after 30 mins, which allowed us to get more of a foothold as the pace slowed down.

Certainly still in for a chance of something, we looked the most likely in the final 10 mins.

Feels like we've been saving our energy somewhat. Bodes well for the second half.

But, must not get too gung ho. Silly mistakes will get punished. But if we can keep it tight, it won't take much to turn the crowd toxic.

Come Saints. Box clever now......
