I'm using it to mean "worn out", "very tired", or "fatigued" in this context.

It’s still nonsense though. Teams plays 3 times a week all the time. We’ve just had a 2 week break where the players fucked off on a relaxing holiday.

International tournaments is a prime example where a heavy load of games are played in a short period of time, often in high temperatures.

Non league, 3 games a week is a regular occurrence and 90% of the lads have spent the week grafting on a building site whilst not playing.

The whole exhausted thing is just an excuse, often made by the bigger clubs, when they lose a game. Not buying it. They have the best facilities in the world to recover ffs.

Broja running at Maguire in his current form is something that really excites me. CR against Bednerak is something that really worries me.

2-2 I’m going for.

“I could play 4 times a week no problem, I mean, they’re only running around, whats the problem, they should try hod carrying”

BT Sport desperately trying to sell (our) Ralph to United...Scholes/Hoddle basically saying Saints players are shit so RH would love to leave.

I can't believe what I'm watching to be honest.

I just hope there are enough stretchers available to carry the poor players off at the end, as no way they will be able to walk after playing twice in 4 days

Unchanged lineup makes sense. Looking forward to the game.

A bit worried about man u's wide players certainly more of a threat than vs spurs.

Going for 2-2 draw as we can certainly score ...

Give me the best training and recovery facilities in the world, a personal chef and 90k a week for the privilege, and I’ll easily play 3 games in a week (especially so soon after a 2 week break where is just been sunning it up in the Maldives or wherever).

As I said, happens in non league pretty much every other week. I done that for many years and was up at 5 the next morning for work 👍🏻

I would just caveat that there are some circumstances where it might be a bit much, coming back from injury or injury prone etc.

The as expected media coverage really, we're irrelevant and they're all desperate for Man Utd to start being good again. Boosts their coffers at the end of the day, we're just seen as a mild irritant at this moment in time.

Well done Ralph. Maybe all those going about inevitable fatigue and required changes can learn something

I'll wait until we actually see the Saints performance before proclaiming anything on that subject.

Save one for Ronaldo once Mr Pinchy has been at him

Get an early goal or even just keep them quiet for 15 minutes and their entitled fans will soon be on their back. From there we can deffo win.

Ralph confirmed in his press conference yesterday that Redmond is still unavailable due to an ankle knock. Theo must have a knock too as not in the squad today.

Or Ralph has actually watched how well Walcott has performed?

Whose place on the bench would Theo take today? Long is the obvious candidate I guess but I'd rather have Long on the pitch for the last 20 minutes when others' legs are tiring.

To be fair Theo's contribution on Wednesday was terrible. He didn't run for the ball or get anywhere near it and they made it 3-3 on the back of that bit of shit play, luckily overturned - but he's a risk when he plays as we have to carry him.

Since he scored at Arsenal last season in that 1-1, he got an injury and since then he's looked done as a footballer. I think he needs to admit it!

Pretty sad to see how Theo has regressed in just 12 months...
I understand he still has 18 months on his contract and unsure whether club or player will want to honor this
Hope we can get a few good games from him by the end of the season... give him a nice send off.

Oh. Glen Hoddle is pundit again. Can’t stand him   The others keep mentioning the 9-0. So tedious.

A record defeat, it’s not going to be forgotten is it. As much as this place likes to try and brush under the carpet, it’s a terrible, terrible result for this club. One that’ll never be forgotten (until beaten, which won’t be for a long time).

from previous interviews, seems he's interested in coaching / management... maybe he's agreed something with the club - though I reckon he could get a couple of years in the MLS or Asia before hanging his boots

I'm watching a non-BT stream for the build up. Sounds much better than BT!

Certainly not by you.  Me I'm not trying to sweep it under the carpet, just move on from it.  Something you seem unable to do.

I see you are paying for a subscription now.  That's bad news for the general cheeriness on here that has been present in the last few weeks.

TBH my only hope is that someone buys him cheap in summer, possibly one of the promoted clubs. We should never have bought him back, he seems to have brought little other than sentimentality.

Commentators are already showing bias towards Utd…just that little extra bit more enthusiasm for them. Think we’ll look good but ultimately get done by their better quality. If we walk away with a point I’ll be delighted.
