The way he comes across is a real reflection of how he played.....a bit cocky, totally self assured and very much his own man.

Had he not got injured in the quarter final reply agst Sheff Wed we would have won the cup that year - maybe even the double......thanks for that Mel Sterland.

Best Saints midfield ever (when playing alongside Bally). They were a perfect partnership, not many better anywhere, let alone Saints.

Williams was brilliant, fiercely competitive, thoroughly modern complete midfielder - travesty that he didn't get 50 England caps, just like MLT a decade later.  When you watched him week in week out you knew that this was something special.

Ended up binge-listening these podcasts last night. Great content, genuinely funny and refreshing. Like holding court with like-minded fans in a decent pub in the 1990s
