Sheaf Saint Posted 7 February, 2022 Share Posted 7 February, 2022 Done. I'd like to think I would have chosen it anyway even without my Saints bias, because it was a truly exquisite hit that I could watch over and over again.

It is absolutely the best goal of the round by a mile which makes it all the more distressing that a third of the vote has gone to the Liverpool youngster. Still, I guess this forum has spiked enough polls in its time that it is only fair. Kane's is probably second best as well, really good hit. richardc Posted 7 February, 2022 Share Posted 7 February, 2022 Did anyone else think that he was making a statement to the supporters when he pointed to his badge. There were rumours about why he wasnt playing earlier in the season and that he wanted to leave. I thought it was a reassuring sign that he wants to stay. I know lots of traitors have done the same in the past

I know lots of traitors have done the same in the past No doubt there's been players who have patted and kissed their badges and who were the first out the door as soon as the next window opened. But I'd prefer seeing Armstrong's actions to him taking off the shirt and throwing it at the manager. 🙂 I hope that if there was anything behind him not playing ealrier, that it's all resolved and that he'll stay for a long time to come (caveat of keeping up at least a decent bit of form during that time). Saint86 Posted 7 February, 2022 Share Posted 7 February, 2022 (edited) Armstrong is class for us. Players like KWP, JWP, S. Armstrong, Romeu, Salisu, and probably Broja should all be certs on the teamsheet atm. Edited 7 February, 2022 by Saint86

I know lots of traitors have done the same in the past Broja and KWP have celebrated by slapping the badge recently too. Thankfully, KWP's + a positive post-match interview came quickly after somebody made up that he was unhappy on here to not be playing RB.
moonraker Posted 7 February, 2022 Share Posted 7 February, 2022 Amused by the wording of the BBC article “Armstrong's goal pipped Harvey Elliott's strike, the Liverpool teenager marking his return after five months out with a fine goal in their 3-1 win over Cardiff City.” He more than pipped him with 33% more votes. I watched it in a Dundee pub.
