Ex Lion Tamer Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 I just loved KWP's interaction with Ralph at the end. You could tell the respect he has for his manager - I don't think he'll be rushing to move clubs, Tino or no Tino 6
stknowle Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 3 minutes ago, Harry_SFC said: Interesting question.. does Tino get back in this side? Perraud was man of the match tonight. Finally showing quality in the final third. He was like a prime Dani Alves tonight! That's easy for me. No. Tino's time will come but we look much better balanced with a left back at left back and KWP - who is better than Tino at this particular point in their respective careers - in his natural position. 3
BotleySaint Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 (edited) We have no right with our cheaply assembled squad to even come close to the Spurs/City mega-millions. But tonight was pure football from us all over the pitch. Edited 9 February, 2022 by BotleySaint 5

Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 What a performance. We should have won that 3/4/5 - 1 but still take that considering we were up against VAR again! 1

We thoroughly deserved that win having outplayed them for large chunks of the game. How we don't get a free kick for the assault on Broja leading to their second goal needs to be explained by the referee's union. To come back from that and score two superb headed goals is karma at its best. The whole team played superbly but a special word for Stuart Armstrong - now he is getting his fitness back he gives us another dimension. Brilliant Saints and so deserved on that performance. Got to have that energy, pace and off the ball stuff that Armstrong offers. We have missed him badly. Could not fault the side. Was really impressed by Forster, KWP...the lot of them really. We won't play like that every game, but will enjoy this one. 4

fanimal Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Could so easily have been 6-1 and that would have been justice 3

Saint_clark Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 So great to see JWP getting more assists from open play. Should have had another from his superb ball to Broja in the first half. 1
tobes8 Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Absolute immense performances all over the pitch tonight. One of the best performances I can remember for a long time. Loved Ralph’s passion tonight and getting one over conte obviously meant quite a bit. Talking of conte, what a complete cumpt he is. And as for the foul on Borja, what was var looking at. But a very happy and proud saints fan. 4

If Tino's fully fit for the weekend i think there could be an argument that he's fresher than KWP/Perraud but i certainly think they odd situation where Livramento played every minute of first half of season shouldn't re-occur whilst we've got 3 good players.

Suhari Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 I might have been wrong with some of my previous comments on JWP. He's pretty good. And just to add: Perraud.....a left back with energy and grit, and who chucks a cross in early. #balancedside 6
FarehamSaintJames Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 I’m absolutely beaming, I can’t stop grinning, I’m out of breath; that was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve seen in the Premier League and for us to win as well in that fashion is fantastic! And this RH interview, look at him, his passion and love for this club and this job! Every one of those players tonight was an 8/10 or above (aside from Bednarek OG). So proud! ☺️ 4
CanadaSaint Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Finally the Spurs fans see the football they’ve been yearning for since the Sixties. Tis but a passing detail that we were the team playing it. 😂 11 11
saintadjg Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Absolutely no passengers out yhere today pretty much any of them could have got MOTM and you wouldn't hear too many complaints. Some of our passing especially 1st half was as good as I've seen, quick crisp and concise. Captain fantastic god is he even human? Got to be the fittest player ever in the Prem. We really deserved that, no pen awarded, couple very hefty challenges on KWP & Broja in build up to there 2nd. VAR offsides were both correct and clear. Very happy we thoroughly deserved that. Let's hope we got something left in the tank for Saturday maximum effort today lads did us proud. 2
LiberalCommunist Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 (edited) That was superb! Had to fight the refs lame decisions along the way as well. And good to see us getting in the refs face, showing him how to do his job......even though he didn't relent. We've taken four points from the yobs this season. Good job, good job indeed. sadoldgit Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Driving home this afternoon listening to TalkSport and a guy from Paddy Power said that Spuds were 4/7 and virtually just had to turn up to win 😂😂😂😂🤪 4

StrangelyBrown Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Elynoussi deserves a lot of credit - what an intelligent performance today. Great team performance. love the physicality and work ethic of Che and broja up top. Forster also worth a mention. 6

Yeah i assume the club will have all the biometrics on recovery etc to decide it. If someone does drop out i'd expect it to be Perraud as KWP is our top fullback back imo and seems to have a great engine.

DT Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Such a sweet victory given what a turd of a club Spurs are. Runs through them like letters through a stick of rock.

Saints Fan Dan Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Good looking game at Villa, 3-3 vs Leeds. Danny Ings must have score - oh he hasn't. Well he must be enjoying playing in an absolute thri - oh he was on the bench. 1 19
LuckyNumber7 Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 So so proud of that performance, thought we were gonna be robbed with their second goal that should never have stood. So good to see justice done! Ralph and every one of those players take a bow, you were fantastic!
The Kraken Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Ian Pompey Fan Darke and Glenn Hoddle were distraught at the end of their commentary, they were wishing one in. Crouch also playing the Spurs fan. Thankfully Franny was there to give it some balance. Ralph you little beauty. 3
Harry_SFC Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Stuart Armstrong is definitely our most important player. I don't think anyone can really deny that. The win % stats with and without him are incredible. 5
Give it to Ron Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 Absolutely beaming I love beating Spurs such arrogant tossers!

beatlesaint Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 23 shots away from home against a top 6 side, that’s just insane. Result of the season so far for me……but I bloody hate Spuds with a passion. 4
DT Posted 9 February, 2022 Posted 9 February, 2022 A word for Forster - crucial saves that kept us in it 8
