why are they loaning James out? Seems a strange move. I'm not a big fan, he's super fast, but end product is often limited...but don't they need a squad player like him?

Wages I expect, he’s their joint highest paid player believe it or not

Don’t be so fucking stupid

Solid response. I’m just saying i think he’s got mistakes in him, he rushes too often leaving spaces exposed in behind, and we know he’s got a rash tackle in him for a pen. If he’s unwilling to sign a new contract i think cashing in on him now isnt a bad option, that’s all

I've seen that guy on twitter and he never claims to be in the know. He says he's just like everyone else but he collects rumours and shares them. He openly said he has no inside info. Why do you think he's getting a living from his twitter account?

I was referring to Crook and if this fella was on the radio (I thought that was implied) doing the same thing, then him also.

If he wasn't , then I'm just talking about Crook.

Putting it out there, if we could ship of Salisu for 40 mil+ to Newcastle and bring in this Lacroix lad for less I’d say that’s good business. Longer contract, meant to be the dogs bollocks and let’s be honest Salisu hasn’t looked that great for 6 months or so now

48h ago he was superb against Chelsea.

Good point.

I can believe it. Players that sign for Man U for £30m or whatever, don't get paid peanuts. £100k a week no problem. If they move, they tend to still get a fortune. Leeds paid even more for him than  Man U did, so no reason why he'd get a wage reduction. Possibly got a rise.

Sod playing the money game. CB pairing looks solid for first time in ages and you want rid for some Saudi blood money. Fuck that

Assume he doesnt see much playing time at leedsnbetween now and the world cup for wales and he wants minutes.

They did say there would be some stranger moves than normal this window as players look for minutes ahead of the world cup.

SSN strike me as being slow to the news instead of at the front. Would that be fair?

Hardly watch it as unbearable smug twats pretending to be in the know.

probably just reading Fabriano Romani’s tweets

Agreed. Only fly in ointment would be if Salisu wanted some of that lucre and wanted out. All entirely conjecture I hope as I agree they are forming something good

Fair enough, but it is a football business not a club, at some point the board may want to some business to prevent them going bust.

No fan ever wants to sell a player, unless they are shite, which if the case tends to mean you get fuck all for them, so doesn't achieve what you want - bring money in to spend on quality.

So if Dawson goes to Wolves, then Bednarek goes to West Ham. If Bednarek leaves we bring in Caleta-Car or Lacroix. Valery and Stephens both out the door.

Are they all going out on loan?

Given we weren't really interested in a CB as of the start of the week, I find it strange we are now after 2 very decent CB's.  We don't need 4 good CB's that all expect to play surely ? And then where does it leave Lyanco, apart from emergency striker?

Some of this doesn't really make sense,

So are we doing a sweepstake for which transfer the club announces first? Or do we think they'll wait until everyone has signed and do a group photo? 😁

Being a Saints fan so long I expect on deadline day just tumbleweed blowing around in the picture

Unless there are 'verbal' agreements about selling other players further down the line? Or we're taking a slightly braver approach?

Links to defenders - does this mean we haven't seen the end of the 3 at the back experiment?

Maybe not but there’d be a great difference between Valery-Bednarek-Salisu that we played against Spurs and ABK-Caleta-Car-Salisu

3 at the back is fine as a formation option if you have the right players to play it. We currently don’t have a third CB capable of it, maybe we’re trying to sign one. Albeit I still don’t see it as ever being our best formation, it’s definitely one that could be used when necessary.
