He's not considered for selection because he is never fit and barely bothers when he does play. Ancelloti has tried to play him several times and been told that Bale is 'not feeling right' or 'not 100%', he was supposedly injured for Real then suddenly turns up fine for Wales and plays 90 minutes, something he has done several times.

He can't be arsed and would be a giant waste of space for any club that signs him considering how much he would want to be paid and how little effort he has put in.

The reason he doesn't play for Madrid is down to him, not Madrid, he's had plenty of opportunities, he just can't be bothered.

He’d have to live in Surrey (I.e. Wentworth) and commute I’d imagine. Shane Long manages it so I guess it’s ok.   Maybe they could car share and compare scoring records over the last three years on the way to training?

A lot of them are moving that way. Macca lives there, this Stephens has also moved up there. Quite a few others too.

Steven Davis still commutes to Rangers from Winchester. It's not a big deal.

Worth pointing out also that in 10 of those games he was a substitute. Really quite impressive. In all competitions, 16 goals from 19 starts and 15 sub appearances.

Bale is still quality, we would never get him but idea that he wouldn’t improve our team/squad is preposterous.

#Facts (before MLG tries to garotte 😨 me, i mean this in relation to your first sentence).

I also agree with your opinion as expressed in sentence No.2 😙.

Remedy Oaks is most player’s choice.

Around here Stoneham, Hockley, Hamptworth and Royal Winchester are good my old club Bramshaw were until new management took over.

You should try the new management at hamptworth, subs up 72% on the promise of what they may do. Understand Ralph may have joined though.

I reckon even Gareth would struggle with the long walks between greens and tees.

Pretty good test of golf there though.  Shame about the drainage.

Sheldon:  Club will listen to offers for Djenepo / Theo / Redmond this summer.

The club will listen to offers for any of our players tbf.

Redmond is a strange one, I know he’s a bit hit and miss but it’s a surprise to see him so frozen out. Binning off the other two would be no loss but I can’t see who would interested.

Everyone else: They're going to need to listen pretty damn hard to hear one for Theo.

I'd guess a loan to the Championship might be the only way we could get Theo out of the squad next season. With Saints still paying a large % of his wages until his contract expires next summer.

Particularly as for most of Ralphs time here Redmond has been one of Ralphs regular picks, hes not really been out of form this season, been a typical Redmond season, a few good games with lots of okay ones. Can only think if we're going to let him go we are bringing someone in where in his position along with at 28 with a year left on his contract then last chance to get a reasonable fee for him

Good to see these on the list and explains why Redmond has been a peripheral figure of late. I don't know why, but he always 'seems' like one of those who is an unsettling member of the squad (if old rumours can be believed). Very skilful on his day but gives the ball away too much and never quite got enough goals or went forwards enough for a good prem player. IMO

Theo has been a disaster, pretty much. And I feel a bit sorry for Djenepo - seems a good bloke and a trier, but a bit too headless chicken for us. Good to see firm decisions being made though.

Redmond has a year left on his contract. My guess is we approached him about signing a new one on a reduced wage and he said no so now we are selling. Could be we wanted to get rid anyway but seems unlikely given how involved he was in the first half of the season.

Either way, I think its time we moved on a couple of 10s and brought in a good one. More quality less quantity.

Redmond I think has a squad place as long as he wants to be here.  He's not a bad player without being anything like exceptional.

Moussa just hasn't shown enough development, possibly he could go to Celtic for a year or two on loan.  Seems like a very popular person in the dressing room, and a bundle of laughs, but he needed to show some real promise this season, and he just hasn't.  His last good game was probably that home game against Chelsea last season!?

Theo, makes no sense why we offered him a 2 year deal if we were going to try get rid of him after 1 year. Would leave us needing to bring in atleast 2 "wide" players.

There is some positive here though, as it would suggest that Dragan is willing to stick his hand in his pocket.  £15m for Tete would seem a good start.

Also interesting that we don't see a future coaching role for Theo either. Shame in a way. Clearly a nice guy but the game has left him a long way behind. No room for nostalgia. (Although Bale would be marginally better)

Definitely surprised at Redmond. Unless he's said he's not happy and wants to leave or unless we see him as a saleable player for money, for a club of our size he definitely is a squad asset and, though he can be infuriating, he's had a decent season when he's been fit.

Theo is a no brainer and in no way will someone come in permanently for him unless they're stupidly rich and don't care about his wages, although perhaps a loan could be done.

Moussa is weird, he seemed to start well but faded and is made of glass. There's a player in there but he's not the Mane we hoped he might be.

That's three of our AMs going,  leaving Stu, Tella, Moi and the youngsters. I assume we plan a squad overhaul in the summer. Hopefully this is a sign that the new owners might give us a teensy bit of room to spend.

We are surely bringing someone in then, maybe this Tete guy? He's only on loan at Lyon until June.

Good, really wouldn't be upset if all three left. Redmond has been above average in occasional lumps but that really is about as kind as I can be about him. The other two are just non-entities and wage pits. Djenepo will probably go abroad somewhere, the other two will be seen as having valuable Prem experience by one of the promoted clubs. With 7 sub-standard (apart from Stu) players competing for those 2 places in the team, it's an area we really need to focus on. I'd try to shift those three and Moi and bring in only two.

At least one, if not two AMs IMO. It depends on how good the youth AMs have done this season but I haven't heard much about Watts or Ferry on loan. Smallbone I guess can play there but surgery is needed. For years we've had quantity but not quality in our AM positions so it's refreshing to hear we aim to amend that.

Also we have 9 subs spaces next season with 5 able to be used, so a stronger squad will be important (it will also help us bed younger players into the first team if we actually happen to be winning games).

Redmond is a decent squad player, I’d keep for this season but I suppose they want to recoup some of the transfer fee before he’s available on a free next summer.

Agreed. Would be sorry if Redmond does go. He's a decent squad player, who I would only let go if it meant improving the quality. Think the club didn't expect Walcott to decline so quickly, unless there is an issue we don't know about

I have absolutely no issue with those three going, in truth someone like Norwich might go for Redmond, Djenepo will vanish back into a European first division somewhere but I think we will be stuck with Theo.

Maybe we could make him an ambassador, there’s a vacancy 😛

The worst part about it is that I'm really not sure that he has, we got him because he wasn't wanted by 11th place Everton. For all the media guff about our boy coming home, he just wasn't that good.

Even if we paid, say, 75% of his wages, Championship clubs are still going to be pretty wary of signing a player that has been injured a fair bit the last couple of seasons. They don't have much to go on in terms of form and current ability. Not sure he's going to get too many opportunities between now and the end of the season too.

How many loans are they allowed to sign? Is there a limit these days? They won't want to `burn' one, when a good couple of loan signings from the Prem (see Forrest) can really transform your side.

Yeah, we probably should have said goodbye after the loan deal expired

In fairness, he put in some bloody good shifts for us last season, working up and down the line relentlessly and never shirking his defensive responsibilities. I was surprised at his work rate and that must have impressed Ralph (who obviously wanted to sign him). For me, he didn't look a player on his last legs, although the absolute pace certainly wasn't there and without it he doesn't really offer much in terms of flair, creativity or goal threat.

I wonder if Long has impressed in the same way and will also get a new deal? I wonder also, if that will work out as well or we will all think we should have parted ways this summer too?

I wouldn't be surprised if Long got another year. AA seems to be totally out of the picture now.
