On a related note. Turned over to watch Russia Today to get a “balanced” view lol. Its incredible how different a narrative could be.

Its sad that edititorial news outlets like RT, Fox news, GB news bring an air of credibility that dampen the trust in our national news stations.

Just an observation.

BTW RT hacked now displaying the Ukraine flag 🇺🇦

Tony Blair Knighted (let you make your mind up

It’s a funny old world. A person who claims that he is not who everyone knows  he is tries to conflate two of the biggest despots in history with the honours system and a British Prime Minister whilst also spending his days trawling the internet to find things to denigrate other European countries with and has spent years running down the regime and religion of those Tony Blair went to war with. Yep, it’s a laugh a minute.

The BBC have an article with a group of Ukrainians in the UK who are equipping themselves to travel back to join the fight. They refer to 'Viktor' and claim they will not give his full name to protect his identity. 2 paragraphs down they have a photo of 'Viktor, showing his full face.

Russia getting wrecked from the anti tank and anti air missiles supplied from the west. Goes through their stuff like butter. No wonder they are getting upset.

Also decent amount of drone footage about with Ukraine hitting fuel trains in Crimea, taking out convoys and what not. Not sure the Russians can take them out too easily.

Also seems Russia now don't care for civilians too much - this happened within the last hour :

I thought Putin was going to mainly just display strength by rocking up in towns with tanks and dealing ruthlessly with any soldiers who didn't lay down their arms.

I honestly didn't expect him to randomly bomb housing estates and kill kids - have some of his forces gone trigger-happy, or is this how he wants the world to remember him?

It's not a good look.

With today’s sophisticated weaponry there is absolutely no excuse for indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets. For someone who is supposedly trying to liberate the country from its fascist rulers Putin seems to have an odd idea about how to get the people on his side. I hope the bastard gets what’s coming to him soon.

I read one report that they are running out of precision munitions.

Russia dont buy their weapons from the US/UK

They have more dated things that go bang, and enormous quantities of it.

Of course, at least when we invade other countries we have the decency to blow up civilians with guided munitions. 😒

On the wider point you make, compared to their activity in Syria etc, they have been relatively constrained in their actions

Russia's latest justification for the invasion is that they are acting to prevent Ukraine obtaining nuclear weapons.

It’s like they’re chucking darts at a list of ‘excuses’ at this point.

Even if that’s meant for a domestic audience, it’ll be failing to add up for more and more people.

It seems Bojo and his cronies are yet again chasing public opinion, yesterday it was 100k refugees today 200k, how many tomorrow.  Why put a number on it just open up to them, these people are fleeing for their lives.

It does seem weird, I’d happily have as many as want to come here. In fact there are a fair few Brits I’d happily swap them for.

Whilst what's happening is very sad, where are you going to house these hundreds of thousands of people? We don't have unlimited space.

Priti has to appear tough on immigration, even if it fucks over people fleeing a war zone.

Yesterday in the HoC she was asked about a particular case and whether the Ukrainian woman referred to, having currently got as far as Paris, would be allowed to come to the UK to join her daughter. "Yes" asserted Priti. "No" a Home Office official confirmed to the news media a few minutes aferwards.

Latest from the BBC ;

"

Some clarity on that massive Russian armoured column heading south towards Kyiv.

Close analysis of the latest satellite images by McKenzie Intelligence Services reveals the following:

  • The convoy is not 40 miles long, it’s a series of logistical ‘packets’ strung out along a major highway from the Belarus border, aiming to link up with Russian units on the northern outskirts of Kyiv.
  • The convoy appears to be hampered in several places by broken down vehicles.
  • The column consists of some armour (tanks) and infantry fighting vehicles but mainly logistical vehicles, implying plans for more than just a brief battle."

A quick google of the ex US Colonel finds that he has been supportive of the Russian annexation of Crimea and suggested that the Luhansk and Donetsk regions should also be annexed as they were basically Russian....

I wonder what Kompromat they have on him?!

He'll probably be a guest speaker at CPAC2022.

I didn’t bother looking at it but makes perfect sense considering the outlet he appeared on. “Can we just confirm he will smear Biden? Ok great get him on”

That is good news. Such a problem that the news feels need to sensationalise but equally fucking irresponsible trying to scare the shit out of people.

Depressing when heard about it this morning
