Zero Hedge has long been identified as a Russian propaganda vehicle to undermine capitalist markets. It is a mixture of legitimate market commentary and pro Russian pieces. It will always take the negative side of an argument. It was founded by a disgruntled ex trader but was purchased by Russian intelligence operatives a number of years ago. So I would not take anything is says as being honest.

All articles are written by "Tyler Durden" originally these were believed to be written by a a group of three people, but I do not know what the current state of it is.

I dont know anything about Zero hedge but oil and gas is explicitly excluded from sanctions atm.

So what is it about Liz Truss’ comments that’s making you blame her, and not the bloke using comments on breakfast news about a defensive alliance as an excuse to ready nukes?

Pathetic the appeasing of some by always trying to move blame away from Putin. This cunt only understands one thing and that isn’t guarded words just so he doesn’t get upset.

Another one of Putin’s useful idiots?

I mean warrior not Truss

Kremlin blamed nuclear alert on Liz Truss. Peskov: "There were unacceptable statements about possible conflict situations and even confrontations and clashes between Nato and Russa. I will not name the authors of these statements, although it was the British foreign secretary"

So Liz Truss controls Russia’s nuclear readiness level then?

No, she gave them the excuse. Keep up!
The Russians said it. You don’t have to believe it.
You keep believing our leaders are competent. The rest of us don’t  wear blue tinted glasses

So there are no other words or actions by NATO leaders that Putin would have used as an excuse then?

It was purely Truss’ comments that made Putin announce that their nuclear readiness level had been moved up to the highest level, from previously being at, uh, the highest level?

So you think Truss’ comments justified threatening nuclear war then?

No. But what I think doesn’t matter does it.

She is supposedly our top diplomat in foreign affairs.

come in, behave, as if you even think for a moment she is up to it.

So, if you think Putin has acted irrationally in response, why are you blaming Truss for not foreseeing that?

So what is it that she said that with hindsight she could have not, such that Putin would not have gone Nuclear Tonto ?

Christ are you dim. The Russians are blaming Truss.

I am simply pointing out Truss is our top foreign diplomat. Yes I said that bit out loud.

Everyone is aware of what Russia said.

The question is why you’re blaming Truss here, given you’ve already admitted you don’t think the response was justified.

I think we can all agree that...

a) Liz Truss is an utter embarrassment of a FS with the intellectual capacity of a blancmange

b) the claim from the Russian minister that her comments were the basis for them to raise their nuclear threat level is an utterly absurd excuse from a government led by a paranoid megalomaniac.

Maybe you should read before simply disregarding.

I am well aware of what Vlad has said. What I asked you was what specifically that Truss said do you think triggered him ? Or do you think the UK Foreign Minister should not speak out when a foreign affairs crisis emerges ? You were the one ranting that she should keep her mouth shut.

I think she should keep her mouth shut as she is incompetent.

she should be very careful how her words are construed.

Another example was cheering on British nationals to go fight in Ukraine with her full backing. Regardless of military experience. More logical heads had to roll back that one.

Ill gladly follow that idiot into battle lol. Led by donkeys

I'd guess the trigger was Truss saying she was fine with British nationals travelling to Ukraine to fight Russians.

Absolutely right. Sophie Raworth was surprised and gave her the chance to clarify and she chose not to.

I think you will find that she was "off message" and Downing Street were equally surprised. The FS normally choose their words a little more  carefully.

Frankly, it's a good thing that the Russians looking after the Russian nuclear arsenal are on their highest readiness level.  Hopefully this means they will be more vigilant and less likely to 'lose' a missile or two (or have one stolen by a tractor!).

Surely those looking after nuclear missiles from every nation should be on their highest alert level at all times?

Maybe if Putin was pressured into the invasion by some bloke whose father had invaded 10 years ago and... something about annexing Moldova and slant drilling, I don't know.

Blair (we) was/were not forced to do anything.  There was even faked evidence to make it happen by No.10

Anyway.....

The Twitterati are now losing their sh*t over a Ukrainian woman on US news who used the phrase, "new world order." Few of them seem to understand that she's talking about a world of peace and democracy where Russians and Ukrainians are free from Soviet era tyranny, not a world of gay, pedophile lizard people who want you take vaccines which transmit 5G.

England should have been kicked out of Euro 2004 because of Tony Blair or something

Tbh Blair is worse than Putin and JK Rowling on same level as Hitler. West is so hypocritical.
and now I can’t even buy a can of Gazprom!
