Friend of the Podcast (and fellow Saints fan) Nick Harris (@sportingintel on Twitter) is currently doing a huge piece of research on Premier League ownership.

Here’s a short, simple questionnaire specifically for Saints fans that he’s asked us to share on SWF (with support from Steve to post).

Agree. In a year or two it might well be Newcastle, but as the PL seems to be an exercise in who can spend the most (well apart from some teams like us), then there are many candidates. One that can't really be included is Liverpool, for however much they do spend, they seem to have an extraordinarily good selling record.

Has to be Burnley on first view, came in, bought a club on leverage that now has significantly more debt and less spending power than previously

Everything that’s shit began with Man Utd. Business first, football second, and the rest have just followed, and then others saw English football as some sort of easy pickings promised land.
