nta786 Posted 22 January, 2022 Author Posted 22 January, 2022 Half time SMS is buzzing today. My first time at Saints since the international break in fairness, but is it just me or has the screens at either end stayed the same? So much for the upgrade. As for the game, atmosphere is class, we’re more than worthy of our lead regardless of Sterling’s miss, let’s keep it up!!!
Convict Colony Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 its going down well on the blue moon forum they are on page 103 by HF time 1

obelisk Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 The sort of game made for Shane Long to come on and wrap it up with a 2nd. 😊 2

Need that quick transition from defence to attack when we get a chance not a fan of Redmond at all but he has pretty much been helping out Perraud for most of that half so not sure id bring him off as Perraud needs help. never thought I’d say don’t bring Redmond off but hey ho…..

Turkish Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Great first half, Salisu immense but sadly a city goal feels inevitable. Redmond off for Elyanoussi 🧐
Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Blimey, Redmond off at half time. I'm shocked. Elyounoussi needs to be disciplined and work hard defensively, he has a tendency to commit himself forward too much. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 McManananananaman thinks we can hold on. Ugh!

obelisk Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Redders probably feeling the effects of his illness. Nearly a 2nd.
Warriorsaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Would have put Adam on for Che just for the pace. Need to hold out for the first five
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Hmm, Saints poor at second halves against a City side with loads more gears to use... Come on Saints, would be lovely to get one over on the Champions! (I hate to say it but the nervous Saints fan in me would still take a draw...)
Toussaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Alan Smith is so unbelievably dull, he sucks the energy out of an exciting game, every time
OttawaSaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Ohhhh header Bednarek, great save Ederson!
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 1 minute ago, Saint_clark said: Absolutely, he just seemed to get nervous in the final 20 minutes and tried to play too conservative, ignoring an easy forward pass in favour of a riskier backwards pass. I get the feeling he's following instructions there to keep the ball in certain areas to maintain shape. Unfortunately, a couple of times when relieving the pressure with an easier forward ball might have been the better option. also think Perraud looked a little knackered at the end, clearing to him being conservative. Crumbs. Two Redmond posts in a row from me. #Redmondfanclub
wooley7 Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Redmond didn’t look great first half, little off with the ball. Having said that he got an assist and a very important toe in the box.
trousers Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 We need to engineer a JWP free kick situation early on I reckon. If only we had a Jack Grealish #diveking
OttawaSaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Now Broja with a great defensive header! 1
Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 That's why Che is on, really well held up Vs 4 City players. 1
Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Stop f**king helping them out by giving it back so easily.

Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Fuckkkkk, that was brilliant defending, I thought for sure Broja would bury that.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Oooooh nearly Broja. Good Armstrong pass.
DT Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 I’ve had a martini to deaden the nerves. Not working.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 And nearly again. Never afoul on the keeper.
Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Annoyingly De Bruyne and Grealish aren't actually playing badly, they do look dangerous.
Sheaf Saint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Laporte lucky he made contact with that. He had two feet off the ground when he made that block.
trousers Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 I reckon Pep will actually mean it when he says in his post match interview that this has been their toughest game all season (after they win 3-1 of course)
OttawaSaint Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 Seems inevitable that City score, obviously we don't want them to but as the minutes tick by the potential pain of that goal(s) increases.
Saint_clark Posted 22 January, 2022 Posted 22 January, 2022 I hate this prick coming on, always gets one against us.
