Yes, some of this is on Ralph I'm afraid. Took off Diallo when he should have taken of Tella and brought on KWP. That's before the argument that KWP should have started in the first place. Wolves make few mistakes - we made lots today and were very careless with the ball. Great goal from JWP but you just knew Traore would score against us. We weren't good enough today but I think Ralph was partly to blame.

Well we were fucking unlucky not to get something out of that. Perraud SO unlucky with that header. The freekick was just unbelievable. I will say though if you chuck a bit of play as shit as that pathetic bit of 'goalkeeping' for that 2nd goal into any match then you are asking not to win. For that alone I have no complaints that we lost. Stunningly shit and the worst bit is he is probably our best keeper.

maybe so, but by a fraction - which begs the question why isnt a CB or whoever challenging the header. Forster will get the blame, but piss poor defending ensured his mistake was punished. Three CBs on the pitch. One of them ought to going for the header.

Meh. Frustrating result but I'm not too downhearted. We weren't terrible by any means. Overall the performance wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggests, but one or two players didn't do enough - Redmond, Tella, Broja were completely ineffective.

First goal was a travesty. Clear from one angle that Bednarek got the ball but VAR didn't show that angle to the ref on the monitor,

Second goal is all on Forster. Absolutely hopeless goalkeeping. Pathetic.

Third goal wouldn't have happened if Lyanco didn't pull up injured.

JWP's free kick was out of this world and didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

Draw a line under it and move on. And buy a new goalkeeper who won't fall to the side and invite a penalty taker to go the other way, and stand there looking bewildered when a looped free kick comes into the box.

The five man defence was working ok. I'd of done the Tella/KWP switch but should have taken a CB off if he was going to 4-4-2. We offered nothing down the right with bednarek out there.

In rugby and cricket you can hear the ref/umpire asking for 'any other angles to show me'. Stockely Park pick the one that makes the 'correct' decision easiest and stick with it.

Massive error, but see who is marking Kilman or in that area and how much effort they put in to win the header. We just don't win headers from those deep freekicks.

Interesting that when we were doing well at the start of last season when we were scoring goals from errors it was because we were a brilliant pressing team forcing teams into errors, when it’s someone else they’re just having a lucky season and can’t keep relying on other team to gift them goals. They’ll drop down to “like” (I didn’t realise this was an episode of friends) well down the table like

Solid defensive side Wolves. Unsurprisingly, we created a little, but not a huge amount. Sadly, our defensive unit is not as good, athough every player we have is just fine, apparently. No improvements are needed. None at all.

Welp, we made a game of it. Just lacked the quality up front to take our chances and defended a few situations pretty sloppily, and that was the end of that.

The first two Wolves goals were a catalogue of errors. Tella losing the ball, Bednarek making an untidy and uncalled for lunge when all he needed to do was poke the ball out of play for a corner; the marking disasterclass and goalkeeper walkabout that led to Coady's goal. All very avoidable, but evidently not for us.

Not sure I've seen that referee before, but he was hopeless for both sides. Didn't have a fucking clue what a foul was or wasn't. Let loads of physical challenges go, and then rewarded dives and booked people for shoulder bumps. The penalty could've gone either way - we would've screamed for it for our side - but the fact the referee missed it and had to be told what to do by his superiors was the least surprising moment of the match.

Take it on the chin - Wolves are a decent side - and move on to the next one. At least like that Le Tissier vs Blackburn game in the 90s, we can forget the result and just remember an absolute howitzer of a strike from Prowse, who never hits free kicks with that technique normally. He's expanding his repertoire.

A decent contest between too fairly evenly matched teams, they're just better at the back than we are. I thought we created the better opportunities and looked the more lively, Wolves were happy to sit and block the space in the first half. It made it difficult and there weren't avenues. Brentford were a bit naive and left a lot of space, Wolves were clever and they didn't allow us time or space when we had the ball.

2nd half was a bit of huff and puff from us I felt, we didn't have as much of a threat and it was fairly comfortable for Wolves up until that out of this world free kick. No right to score that, no right at all. We were caught on the break and they did us for 3-1 and that was it really.

It wasn't a 3-1 game, closer than that, but we just had awful lapses at the back whereas they were very organised and solid in goal and CB. 

Not sure what we were doing for the 2nd goal, not a clue. Who was marking Kilman? and Forster doing a Forster, flapping in the middle of nowhere. Horrific goalkeeping and that is why he's leaving on a free very soon.

We're not going to win every week, we'll have days like this against similar level teams. Let's see what the next few weeks brings, might not be particularly pretty but at least we have that cushion and the likes of Everton are still shithousing it.

Fraction or not he was offside whatever happens from there in in is of no consequence.

7 corners in first 5 mins and we  gain nothing. Penalty soft but Bednarek is always involved in these. Two Missed chances in first half and Foster stops and goes back for their 2nd goal .Shou;ld never have lost this.

The ref should have said to Stockley Park: "Bollocks am I going over to the screen. It's taken you c.2 minutes to deduce if I made a clear and obvious error and you haven't been able to come to a definitive conclusion, ergo my original decision stands"

Leaving the ground now and can't help but feel that was a missed opportunity. I know we beat Brentford with that line up but the shape felt wrong against Wolves. We had nothing on the right and Tella gave too much space away there. KWP had to start really. As a back 3 we look disorganised and we didn't have enough up top to retain and create. Redmond was diabolical and we are desperate for a no 10 who can unlock a defence. Thought Adam Armstrong did well when he came on and gave us someone who was dropping deep and turning at the defence. We also lacked urgency which was surprising, even at 2 down. A strange of mix of lethargy, the wrong setup and a feeling of a missed chance really.

Owen and Wright-Phillips on DAZN both saying no pen, but if it's that close then it's not an error.

Two well matched sides, they have a far more solid defence and play with a goalkeeper. Pretty much the difference today. Once again a baffling decision from Ralph not to play KWP. That cost us and if Tella and Redmond are struggling to make an impact then sub them.

Ignore the third goal Saints were pushing for an equaliser at that stage. I don't like all their falling about and systematic fouling but they are definitely a strong unit, so no disgrace in losing. On another day Saints would have won that. The new owners can see where we need to strengthen.

I’ve always criticised JWP but to be fair his general game has improved a lot recently, not even considering free-kicks. A lot more active in picking the ball up in between the lines which is good to see

Very frustrating loss.

We should have had a penalty. Var is a joke. I do wonder if Saints missed a trick by not appealing more and romeu should have rolled around on the floor. Compare our reaction to the wolves player reaction for the bednarek one.

That was an absolute corker of a free kick by Prowsey.

Wolves are a very good side, there’s no shame in losing to them. We put in an alright performance just show our vulnerabilities at the back.

Could have done with a point given give the next 3 fixtures (possibly 4 if Everton sack Rafa).

The high line actually is quite effective, there have been loads of offsides. Looks terrifying but works.
