As Saints I am amazed that we have never discussed one of the most important questions  of the day - "how many angels can dance on a pinhead?"  I have my own views but before revealing them I would like to guess what other posters are going to say:

Weston Super Saint will most definitely have an opinion. He will apply "critical reasoning" and post many, many times on the thread but not actually come up with a number.

Delldays will come up with the same opinion as Brett from Camden, Batman and AlexLaw 76. He will highlight the discrepancy between the figures quoted by the Catholic Church, the Cof E and the Methodists but also not come up with an opinion.

Lord Duckhunter will just exclude  chick angels.

Turkish won't include any Muslim angels.

MLG would want to define what is meant by an angel.

... and Lighthouse would monitor this thread in the manner that it is meant - with a smile on his face.

Before the question can be answered there needs to be a definition of "head of a pin". For instance, are we talking about a standard sewing pin with a small flat head, or perhaps one that has a spherical head ( in which case dancing will be much harder ). Then again, a drawing pin would accomodate many more angels.

My wife has asked that we clarify "dancing", as classical ballroom requires more space per pair of angels when compared to mosh-pit scrums, line dancing, or perhaps Greek 'Zorba' displays.

Does your submission count ? Or only those specifically referencing angels, pins, or dancing ?

Good question but I think that we need to consider the capabilities of the angels before deciding this. Are there any restrictions on their movements? Do their wings get in the way?

Depends if your post asking me about my post counts too

I always imagined angels pogo dance to God Save the Queen. I suppose there is chance I could be wrong.

On QI a few days ago Stephen Fry posed the question "How many wings does an angel have ?". Most commonly Seraphim and Cherubim are mentioned as having 6, whilst one source gives the Archangel Gabriel 140 !

It will depend on two things.  When did the pin-head dance take place and who was invited.

If it was early in pandemic then only one angel per pin head and only for an hour a day.

Later 6 were allowed on the pinhead providing they could stay 2mm apart.  And possibly only outdoors.

etc etc etc

If the dance took place in a government building then there would be no limit to the number of wine-drinking, cheese-eating fairies allowed, and in any case, that would clearly be a work event and not a dance party.
