AlexLaw76 Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 I really fancy us today. A bit of a break, team with lots of confidence and Adams of good form. 1-3 to Saints! Adams, A.Armstrong and JwP

CAH61 Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 I think that we have goals in the team now to go with the better organised defence, Che and AA to score in a comfortable 2-0 win. 1
Turkish Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Probably go top half with a win today. Fancy us to win 2-0
NewYorkSaint Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Really looking forward to this. 2 week break way too long. I'd love to see Che build on his Scotland performance with a confident early strike. He's one of our jewels in the making.
Manuel Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 A win and a clean sheet would be nice. I'm liking this pre-match confidence feeling that's starting to creep in before games.
suewhistle Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 I'm a Saints fan. Hubris is dangerous and a precursor to a depressing come down. But we do need to score a few goals in a single game so today is a good opportunity. Plus it would be an opportunity to sing to Dean Smith.."can we play you every week"..
Saint Fan CaM Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Think Norwich at home will give more to their new Manager than some here think. 1-1 is more than likely. Having said that we have all the capability to spank them 0-3, but that’s not going happen…it never does.
Chris cooper Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 3 defensive midfielders 🧐and no s Armstrong 😕

obelisk Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 All set up for Long to come on after a dour 80 minutes and score the winner.
Matthew Le God Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 2 minutes ago, WALK DMC said: JWP playing further forward ? I'd say Diallo is the more likely to play in the Armstrong role, given Hasenhuttl has done so before. Although they may even use a 433... with Romeu in front of the back four and Diallo and Ward-Prowse infront. With Elyounoussi, A.Armstrong Adams as a front three. 1
Suhari Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 4 minutes ago, WALK DMC said: JWP playing further forward ? #10 on the right I'd imagine, with Tino bombing forward. Diallo should bring some forward momentum to the midfiled, but shame there's no Stu. Has been a strange season for him so far.....nagging injury, 'something not right' or nothing to worry about? Should be pretty solid, and have enough going forward to score.
CAH61 Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Ralph does like to throw a little curveball in there every time doesn't he?
beatlesaint Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Redmond obviously out because of the baby arriving yesterday but no S Armstrong or Dejenepo. Unless these guys get injured in the session after his press conference Ralph is fond of telling the odd porkie to give the opposition a curve ball
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Walcott is well down in the pecking order now then
OttawaSaint Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Wonder what's up with Stu and Moussa. Lineup looks solid enough. COYS!

egg Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 I'd have liked to have seen Olaigbe or even Ballard on the bench today rather than Long. Decent line up though, fancy us for a close win - goals at both ends.
JustinSFC Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Probably been said. But if he isn't dropping Bednarek and playing Lyanco V Norwich then I'm not sure if Ralph is going to ever give him a premier League game. 1
Disco Stu Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 (edited) Why do Scotland always return Stuart Armstrong to us injured? 😡 Missing some game changers so hopefully Adam Armstrong and Che Adams have their shooting boots on today. Edited 20 November, 2021 by Disco Stu

Professor Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Encouraging sign compared to last season is that even with Stuart Armstrong out. presumably injured, the subs bench looks genuinely strong. It does look like an unbalanced selection, but none of us are Premier League coaches. Our role is to praise Ralph if we win but if we don't, we must use our A1 hindsight to tell him he got it wrong. I will just venture, that there should be goals scored by that line-up, and possibly another by a sub. COYR.

It hasn't been said... because it is nonsensical! 🙄 So when Salisu wasn't in the team last season did you think Hasenhuttl would never play him in a Premier League game? LiberalCommunist Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 If Norwich are not going to play Gunn in this fixture, then I don't see him breaking through! 😆 3

Baird of the land Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 Not particularly enthused about the defensive Diallo selection. Much rather see Tella there if Redmond/Armstrong are out.
Minsk Posted 20 November, 2021 Posted 20 November, 2021 With our line up we could be playing 4-2-2-2 (with either JWP or Diallo out of position) or, more likely, 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2.

It'll likely be Romeu sitting in front of the CBs, with JWP and Diallo in a more advanced midfield role which they can both do very well. With Redmond, Djenepo and Stu all missing, I'd rather have Diallo in there than Walcott, although he'll probably make an appearance from the bench today given our lack of available options in that position.
