benjii Posted 30 October, 2021 Posted 30 October, 2021 We play at a much better tempo without the Danish Beckenbauer taking an age to calibrate his sights. Obviously Salisu is a much better defender but also we get the ball through the midfield and into our “between the lines” players much better this season. Romeu and JWP benefit from receiving and moving the ball quicker without the opposition having an age to get into shape. If we had “number 10s” that scored goals we’d be a very good team. 2
AlexLaw76 Posted 30 October, 2021 Posted 30 October, 2021 Agree, Salisu is very good and adequately mobile and less of the hoofs across the pitch. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 30 October, 2021 Posted 30 October, 2021 JV (and Bertrand) couldn't get into the starting 11 of a Leicester side already missing its best 3 defenders today. On the other hand, Salisu was outstanding for us. Don't miss him one bit. 4
Daft Kerplunk Posted 31 October, 2021 Posted 31 October, 2021 Regardless of whether he goes on to be decent for anyone else, selling him was the best sale the club has made for some time. 2
Lord Duckhunter Posted 31 October, 2021 Posted 31 October, 2021 I remember hearing Gab Marcoti when asked about Lovren having a “blip” at Liverpool. He said the blip “ isn’t that he’s off form now, the blip was his one season at Southampton”. I feel the same about Vesty, he had a decent period, but it was just a blip. He was shite before it, and shite since . We did well to get half decent money for him 2
