Man City would be 4-1 up in this situation...

A shame as we’re making chances just cannot finish

Classy.

My mum always taught me that if you had nothing nice to say, then don’t say it.

it’s a game, he smiled, it might be how he reacts to that sort of thing. He smiles a lot. He is a human being!

Agreed!

What he did isn’t necessarily a bad way to deal with this type of thing.

Laugh at yourself and go again 👍🏻

Also for any cricket enthusiasts out there

England playing the West Indies in WC

WI currently 42/6 so that’ll be the halftime watch.

(PS. Test Cricket is better)

So are we gonna have to take JWP of corner duty when he returns from suspension?

Redmond's so far in his absence have been excellent. So very nearly scored from them twice last week, and did today.

Thought you would be surprised as they were going to score - no?

Yep. Still surprised to see it in the back of the net. How many chances do we need to get one?

Should really be winning but Walcott and Redmond are shite infront of goal.

Walcott is an awful signing. We wouldn't have made that signing if he wasn't an academy poster boy. Wouldn't make any other side in this league and shouldn't be making ours. £70k a week, terrible business.

Some very nice build up, and a combination of awful finishing and being a tad unlucky.

I wouldn't mind seeing A Armstrong have a go as he knows how to finish.

An original thought. Well done.

Some excellent attacking play in the last 15 minutes. Exciting. Swashbuckling even.

A couple of shocking misses, but nice to see how we're moving the ball so much quicker.

Really looking forward to the second half (when did I last experience that?!)

The goal we conceded was poor. No pressure from Elyounessi and Livramento a bit asleep. Didn't think the equaliser was going to come what with our atrocious finishing(walcott/Redmond) and bad luck (livramento). Cornet doesn't seem to be a very burnley player, in that he does no defending. Definitely didn't expect a goal from a corner but nice to see a well worked set piece. Think i'd take Walcott off & get one of the armstrongs on.

KWP should be one of the first names in the starting 11.

Not over  Tino he shouldn't. KWP is one of the best right backs in the league, but Tino looks even better to me.

Nice to see we have (in theory) some decent options off the bench, too.

Trouble is, after a season of not playing he'll want to leave and won't be worth much.

Bring on Armstrong and Che for Theo and Broja, then Stu on for Redmond later if needed. Tino is making chances like crazy and no one can finish them, he had to do it himself in the end!

Why Broja ?

He has been playing, and he will play more. Guarantee he will start against Chelsea in midweek. It's a loooong season.

Maybe you would be happier if we didn't play Tino and he wanted to leave instead?

I’d rather have 2 quality players for that one position than not? We’d still be making a profit and also competition makes the team/squad better

Plus he’ll be worth at least £18m and £25m if Newcastle want to come calling.

Then it’s up to us to use that money to find two £6m players because the other £6m will go towards agent fees that no other club has 😬

Tino is an absolute baller.

Redmond miss might have been even worse than Djenepo at Newcastle. As if we have 2 miss of the season contenders already…

Come on Saints, carry that momentum through into the second half and get the win! Please.

He has missed two guilt edge chances, one where Tino put him in on the ground and took too many chances and lost it. One where it was put in and he vollyed it wide. He made the Redmond chance well but I'd rather see our first choice striker pairing on tbh
