vectraman Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 For me:- McCarthy KWP Bednarek Salisu Perraud Livramento Romeu Diallo A Armstrong Broja Djenepo I know it won’t happen because it is 4-3-3 and not the ‘fabled’ 4-2-2-2 but there we go!
nta786 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 I don't think Broja will start based on Ralph's comments. I think Ralph will play this: McCarthy; Tino, Bednarek, Salisu, KWP; Romeu, Diallo; Walcott, Elyounoussi, Redmond, Armstrong Personally, I'd play above but play Tella and Djenepo instead of Redmond/Walcott, but let's see. I would also like to play Perraud over KWP. Only reason why I think Walcott start's over Djenepo is because of the international break. Subs today will definitely involve Tella/Broja if not starting, and perhaps Stu Armstrong if he is fit/ready for some minutes

Saint Matty 76 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 All the collective optimism and excitement I’ve been building up over the morning to be nullified at 2pm when Walcott and Redmond start. 1

woodsaint1 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Not quite a 'must win' but fail to do so and Burnley next week certainly does become a must win. Hopefully we can get 6 points from the 2 games and really get the season off and running. Where will the goals come from though? Front players need to start delivering now

John Boy Saint Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Not seen elsewhere - David Coote is on the whistle, he’s a funny picky bugger, who’s short changed us a few times. That scabby pen Son conned him with in the cup tops the list. Has the persona to step to our favourite refs boots in the future. Lee Mason watching the TV for him, getting in his ear. 1
Lighthouse Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Had a dream last night that we lost 8-0 and I was genuinely p*ssed off that we couldn’t even do a 0-9 properly any more. Then again we were playing Ipswich away, so it may not have been an accurate premonition. 1

suewhistle Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 I just love Tella's smile, it makes you want to smile too. 2

Billy the Kidd Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Maybe going as a back three… Slight change if formation, Perraud LB at Tino or KWP at RB.

Saints foreva Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 How does Redmond get so much game time?
The Cat Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Broja in. I'm excited to see him start the game.
ErwinK1961 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Feel sorry for A Armstrong - thankless task isolated up front, now benched Why can’t he play Broja and Armstrong up front together?! 4
Baird of the land Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Disappointed to see neither of the Armstrong's or Tella in there. Never been a fan of this whole Redmond as a striker thing. Still let's hope it proves a masterstroke.
The Cat Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Leeds are missing a lot of their usual suspects. Could be an open, exciting game.
Stevie61163 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Wow! Gonna reserve judgement on that team until later just going to say not the team I would of picked but onwards and upwards COYS!
Matthew Le God Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Leeds missing quite a few of their key players...

Nope nothing different about this one I'd say tbf other than Redmond up front (which from nearly 3 years under Ralph is nothing new)! I'm happy that everyone is playing in what looks like their right position and excited to see what Djenepo/Perraud can do down the left hand side. We have good alternatives in Tella and Adam Armstrong off the bench later. Edited 16 October, 2021 by nta786
Turkish Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Need to get at Cooper, he’s a liability at the back so slow.
LuckyNumber7 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Glad to see Broja starting, but Redmond again ffs.
Baird of the land Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 I feel Phillips is key when Leeds play well. Hope we can take advantage of his absence.

captainchris Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Goal machine Redders up front ! If Redmond is the answer what is the question one might ask… Over to you Ralph…
nta786 Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 (edited) Also Elyounoussi played in CM for his country midweek and got a brace - could it be a curveball and we play a 4141? McCarthy Tino Bednarek Salisu Perraud Romeu Redmond Diallo Elyounoussi Djenepo Broja Unlikely I know, but if it works would demonstrate a good level of tactical flexibility Edited 16 October, 2021 by nta786

Kermitzasaint Posted 16 October, 2021 Posted 16 October, 2021 Is Ralph deliberately weakening our team as he feels sorry for Leeds and their injury issues? 1
