fos1 Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Just who is running the club? So Lowe misses the Doncaster game because he is in Scotland and now he is missing the Swansea game because he is skiing. Just who is running Southampton FC at the present? I hear Lowe never turns up at SMS, in fact he doesn't have an office and makes all decisions when he pays 2 visits a week to Staplewood. Between the Man Utd cup-tie and the meeting with JP he was not seen. The SMS staff are disillusioned to say the least. I also hear the method by which Lowe's salary and expenses are paid is an unusual one too and are clouded in secrecy.
Thedelldays Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 we wanted jan gone..and he has gone...dont know what else there is at the mo.. everyone said jan would not go as lowe would not let him etc...but he has gone.. if anything, a step in the right direction

I thought Andrew Cowan was running day to day matters but what more do you want Lowe to do. I dont want him doing much more I would have thought Edited 24 January, 2009 by John B

Thedelldays Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 It would have been had they not appointed Woote, One step forward two steps back! not really...rather than both of them here..we are now down to one.. if you see my thinking here
Colinjb Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 It would have been had they not appointed Woote, One step forward two steps back! Steady now. His appointment is certainly a massive massive dissapointment. Regardless of manager the experiment continues.

I think people have just assumed Lowe does everything at the club and therefore is to blame for everything, regardless of the fact that as the Chairman of the football club every desicion has to be passed by Wilde aswell.
ladysaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Maybe this is Kim's role to act as deputy for Lowe when he is not there.

Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!! the forgotten man, many assume that Lowe runs things:rolleyes:...........(tongue in cheek)
Weston Super Saint Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Wilde maybe? The actual Chairman? LOL oh yes, Wilde the tax exile who spends even less time in the country than Lowe spends at the club....

saint1977 Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 I thought Andrew Cowan was running day to day matters but what more do you want Lowe to do. I dont want him doing much more I would have thought I thought Cowen came in once a fortnight as a consultant and went to the odd game in Lowe's absence? I wonder how much this "Kim" character is actually pulling the strings. Anyone who shares a name with a notorious North Korean dictator can't be good!

Do you know anything about Southampton football club, Wilde is never in the country let alone at the football club !!
ottery st mary Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 So to sum up......None of the main Directors are ever at the club......No wonder this brute of a man slim kim has taken over.. Barclays are not impressed that no one has their hand fully on the tiller. No wonder the club is in total dissaray.....As above from beginning to date, Askham brought this on and has allowed it to disintergrate into the fiasco we have to-day...
Topcat Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 (edited) We have in Lowe a Chief Executive who is barely spending one day a week in the job. That means that any discussions and decisions get delayed and squeezed into the day or put off for weeks on end. That is why JP's sacking took so long. You cannot effectively run a business with a couple of hundred staff and a turnover of £15m on one day a week. Edited 24 January, 2009 by Topcat
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Someone at SMS told me Lowe's salary and expenses are paid through a holding company. Now I am not sure if that is legit or not - presumably they would have to be declared in the yearly accounts or does the holding company aspect hide them.

docker-p Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 I wold love to know how much Lowe is being paid by SLH. And then divide that by the number of days he works. Pro rata 7 figures?
Snopper Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Lowe off skiing? No wonder we`re going downhill fast.
