Yep, goal happened because Romeu waited an age to decide what to do while surging forward, a pass was on but he blasted it and Newcastle blocked and broke. JWP then pussied out of a strong challenge and the rest is history.

Useless - lots of propaganda football but only a Sunday League miss from Djenepo to show for it and then cave in at the first genuine Newcastle attack. You’d have thought Armstrong would show a bit more appetite at the club who released him but the Southampton relaxed attitude and complacency has gotten to him already.

We’ve only one once at SJP since like 1997 I think or something like that, so really there is no correlation with relegation.

Drawing to Utd is not pointless, it’s actually worth 1 point and shows we can compete at home. I’d like to think performances like that will lead to 3 pts against other bottom 10 clubs.

Has he really? Sounds like we’ve been absolutely all over them, played much better and the players have let us down not taking their chances. I very much doubt missing a sitter from two yards was a tactical move by Ralph.
